This is such an interesting place to visit. The gift store is great. The pictures of Ridgecrest & outlying areas is so much fun to look at. The movie nights are fun. It's a good time to have a hot dog, etc. to eat while visiting with folks before the movie starts. LET'S MAKE SURE THIS PLACE STAYS OPEN. Volunteer, donate some money. This is one of the reasons this town is so great!

A great place to learn about the historical things about the upper mohave desert. Wonderful displays great staff and docents. They also do an amazing open Mike night fundraiser every non flex Friday. For $2 you get to see a bunch of amazing singers songwriters and performers both young and old. This town has some amazing musicians and they are well worth going to see and supporting the society.

Neat place. It was hard to get a sense of the scholarship supported by the society, as the book store was a little thin on publications on local history. I found Robert Christman's work on NAWS history at the nearby bookstore, but not here? But I get the sense they are just getting started, maybe a better set of reseach resources is in the works. And coming out of Covid, I got little sense of the history and culture events they support, so I can't really report on any of the things like oral histories or other events. It wouldn't be fair. I'm sure they have or had programs and I would come back for talks if I was in the area, for sure. On the other hand, it looks like a really nice resource for the community, and I commend the enthusiasm and atmosphere. Nice place, I hope they keep it going!

I love the USO building. It's an appropriate place for Chamber meeting and reinforces our buy in to community resources!
