Sunset Kumon has been a wonderful experience for my daughter who is entering grade 3. She has been doing math with this team for the last few years and her foundational math skills have really benefitted from the additional practice. The teachers have been very responsive to her specific needs including adjusting both the volume of the homework (ie. Reducing the number of pages, as needed) and providing her with tips as she learns new skills. Overall, Kumon math has been a nice supplement that fits into our life and meets her needs as she continues on her learning journey.

My son studied at Kumon Judah for 15 years, on both Math and English. During his time there, he gained a lot of mathematical knowledge and established strong fundamentals, which boosted his confidence in studying. This was especially evident when he was able to assist his classmates at school. It didn't come as a surprise to me when he informed me that he had decided to pursue Applied Math as his major in college. I am truly grateful to the Kumon team for their kindness and loving care.

My son is on the spectrum, and he has been learning at his own pace at Kumon Judah center for 8 years! The faculty here at the center reviews his work daily and adjust the assignments accordingly based on his accuracy and time spent. They created an individualized educational plan just for his learning style and ability! Whenever a new concept is introduced, a teacher is there to explain it thoroughly with examples. Then he is assigned with relevant problems to resolve. The repetition is a unique and powerful way for his to learn and master the concepts and knowledge to move on to the next level!

Great program to develop Math skill that leads to confidence and strong fundamentals. The program was tailored to my 7 year old's ability and she has been excelling at it which has built confidence and enjoyment for the work. This program does a great job of setting the appropriate starting level for your child, and scaling up or down based on your kid's performance. It does an amazing job of instilling discipline in a positive way which reinforces qualities that will lead to continued success. The Sunset program in particular with Christine and Joseph is a well run operation that will put your child on the right track for academic success!

After I saw the review message, I decided to write my opinion fairly. My granddaughter has been attending math and English cram schools for two years. She has a unique personality and is not very gregarious. Restless. I asked the teachers to help her and be strict with her, but they said to me, "No, then she will lose interest and not want to learn." They patiently arranged for someone to teach her. Now she is an AP Giannini student got excellent math and English scores. It's A. Therefore, I introduced many of my friends’ children to classes.. This is a caring and experienced place. Please tell us more.

My daughter is in 4th grade at Stevenson Elementary School. She loves artistic activities such as drawing and dancing, but math, reading and writing are not her strengths. That's why she attended Kumon. She has been attending Kumon for 6 months and I have noticed that my daughter has improved in writing and calculation subjects such as calculating sums, differences, products of multiplication or division. Still a child, she is distracted by her surroundings when she studies at home. For example, she barely reads aloud to grasp the entire story, or she often does not the entire Kumon homework every day. With her progress, I still want her to continue to study at Kumon for as long as possible even during the summer. As a parent, I will do my duty such as asking my child to do her homework in the appropriate space within my ability to check on her regularly or checking her Kumon works when she answers that she is done to make sure she does not miss any pages. I hope she will be good at math, writing and reading in the future. If your child has the same problem as my daughter, I hope Kumon will be your choice.

Kumon has been the reason my daughters have strong foundation in math and a keen interest in reading. My older daughter(now 15yrs), started kumon( math and reading ) when she was 6 yrs and from the very beginning we could see her grow and advance in both subjects quickly. We have recommended Kumon to some of our families after seeing this improvement. My second daughter(now 8 yrs) also followed her older sister’s footsteps and enrolled in both math and reading. She is doing well in math( advanced by 1 year) and loves her reading time. The Kumon classes are held in a very organized manner and worksheets help kids stay focused and encourages them to do their homework daily. There are also rewards for kid’s work- kumon dollars which kids can use to “buy” goodies available at the kumon center. I still, to date, encourage families to have their kids join Kumon :).
