I was transferred to this hospital from another IHC hospital due to some severe issues. Carolyn Anctil was my doctor. She was demeaning, disrespectful, rude and uncaring. She made me feel small and unsafe. I did not trust her with my care and ultimately left ama. The nurses were nowhere to be seen, but were super quick to discharge me when I requested to leave. I will NEVER return to this hospital, unless I want to be treated like absolute garbage. Go somewhere smaller where people actually care about other humans. Official complains have been filed and will be seen through.

I recently visited the ER & I was genuinely impressed with the level of care I received. All the nurses were efficient and compassionate, managing to keep me informed & cared for throughout my visit. Despite the busy atmosphere, the triage process was swift, and I felt like my concerns were taken seriously.

A huge thank you to both doctors (Dr. Barnes & Dr. Clark Rasmussen) for being so thorough, compassionate, answering all my questions, providing a clear treatment plan, and for the level of care.

The facilities were clean and well-maintained, which added to my overall comfort during a stressful situation.

While wait times can be expected in an emergency setting, I felt that my care was prioritized appropriately. Overall, I left feeling grateful for the dedicated doctors & nurses that handled my case.

Excellent intake. Quick and thorough process. Room comfortable, staff hospitable, well run streamlined process. I had blood work, EKG, Chest X-Ray, and CT Scan completed within the first 2 hours. It took time for results, but ultimately a very smooth process with consistent updates. Documentation integration via mobile interface utilizing digital technology making check in and discharge seamless and less cumbersome. 5 stars is well deserved. Thank you to Nurse Madi, Tech Lucy, Nurse Tori, and Dr Agy.

0/10 would recommend . We came here because a loved one was having a mental crisis. We were okay with waiting 2+ hours to be roomed , however the treatment of the staff was absolutely awful for a medical facility . She was seen by multiple care team staff and the only people who treated her like a decent human being and were compassionate and understanding were the nurses . They were very kind and patient . Everyone else , including the provider(!!!) were so rude and lacked empathy and patient care skills . One of them was even talking badly about the situation and our loved one while we were literally right there , which was super unprofessional . The care tech was also rude when we asked questions but would act like a different person when other medical staff was around. Overall the experience wasn’t great and it was really disheartening to see our loved one going through stuff and needing professional help and compassion to be treated very poorly.

If you wanna be forgotten about for four hours, and get charged over $1000 for that, this is the place for you. we went to the ER for my shoulder last week. We waited an hour to get a room, which was fine but once I was in the room, they forgot about me for four hours. At the four hour mark, my cousin had to use the bathroom and went out and saw the doctors and the nurses, laughing and chatting, paying no attention to any of the patients. She came back and told me this. I told her to go out there and ask for me to be discharged, I wanted to go to a different hospital. She went out and asked if I could be discharged because we had been in there for four hours with nobody in there, and they told her that they were going to be there right away. We still had to wait another 45 minutes before a nurse who was just clocking in for her shift came in. She asked us if we had been helped yet, and we told her no and that we had been there for almost 5 hours at that point and she apologized profusely. The nurse told us point blank that they had forgotten about me. I don’t remember her name, but she’s the only nurse in that hospital that actually cares about her job, she went and got the doctor. He looked at me for 10 minutes, and did absolutely nothing besides prescribing a few medicines. I came into the doctor to figure out what was wrong with my shoulder, I was in so much pain and just wanted some x-rays or something, but nope, he prescribed Muscle relaxers and steroids and sent me on my way. Fun fact, the muscle relaxers and the steroids are gone, and the pain is back even more intense than when I went in. And what am I left with? A bill for over 1200. 1000 of that is for sitting in that damn room.
I cannot stress enough, if you can go to any other hospital besides Intermountain, I would highly recommend it. My cousin ended up in the ER a few days after and we went to the University of Utah and the care that she received there was 1000 times better than the care that we received at Intermountain. I can’t believe I have to pay thousand dollars for sitting in a room and being forgotten about. What a joke. I think I would actually rather die than come back to this hospital.

Why people here are complaining about having an uncomfortably long wait in an ER is baffling to me. Welcome to life! Meanwhile, I came here in the middle of the night and was treated very well by all but one person at the front desk (the girl with the dyed red hair who takes vitals). However, my doctor and nurse were excellent! I was so taken care of. They went above and beyond and treated me with the upmost respect. Thank you all so much!

Meanwhile, I feel it necessary to remind people here that if you want respect then you have to give it. I don't treat people badly so, therefore, I don't normally get treated badly.

I went in after being told by urgent care that the ER was more equipped to remove my thumbnail, so I came here. They seemed ready to help me, even talking about care after the procedure. That is until they found out I was homeless, and then she started backtracking, saying they wouldn't do it there because I didn't come in right when the injury had happened. I am 21 and even told them I dont care if you give me pain meds, i have tylenol. I have had my appt to have it removed. It has been canceled twice, and I have been waiting 3 months to get it taken off. They treated me like I was a burden the second they found out I dont have a stable place to live. This is what's wrong with hospitals, and they wonder why there's such an issue with homeless people...

Great experience with the staff here (except the intake guy, who's probably seen it all so we'll cut him some slack) everyone I interacted with was courteous and respectful. Highly recommend this ER... But I hope you don't need it. They saved my life.
