Someone out of state had tried to sign up using my SS#. I Could not resolve issue online. Got hung up on twice and had to wait over a week to set up my own account.

This is by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my life. I made a typo on my name when I submitted my application and I have tried for 3 months to fix a 2 letter mistake. Every time I call to try and fix the issue I get a different answer and put onto another plan that “surely will work this time” that makes me wait at least a week just to see nothing has changed. The representatives don’t know what they’re talking about, and give you different answers every time you call. The wait time is absurdly ridiculous. Every time they “transfer” you the call ultimately fails so you have to call back and wait another 40 minutes on hold. I am utterly helpless when it comes to getting any type of money for school because how utterly incompetent this whole program is. I have to pay by Aug 16th and don’t know if I’ll be able to go to college. This is an utter embarrassment for the United States government, (as if they weren’t enough of one already) and have screwed so many people this year. I genuinely hope everyone involved with this program loses their job and gets replaced with anyone with half a brain.

They are horrible .
My daughter has been receiving aid for 2 years she gets to her junior year and we having been trying for 3 months to get someone to fix her account. It has has a verification error saying to close browser. We have done Everything and no one can help. We are literally struggling to pay $6000 a semester as my daughter started school on august 14th until they fix the problem or process the application we submitted manually beca they told us to . 30 days after they said it will only take 7 to 10 days to process there is still no aid. Help us can we speak to someone higher up. Or maybe we should contact the news .

I'd like to know how an AA BUSINESS is $50,000, ASSOCIATES NOT A BACHELORS degree. I had $16,000 in Grant money and I still owed 30,000 for the principal? Something is not right and my school had to go to court. So, I ask you, what's the pell grant for is it's still going to cost the same if I didn't have it. SO FRUSTRATING and they want me to pay $500 a month. I've been in 2 hurricanes and tornadoes I don't have any money thx Uncle Sam good looking out.

Their customer support is intentionally worse than any cable company or car dealership. Representatives do not have answers, nor know of anyone they can transfer you to who might. They give misinformation. The lie and misdirect. Their goal is merely to deflect and stall your inquiry. It's shocking to be treated by a government agency this way. I could not be more disappointed.

I paid my student loan in August of 2023. Instead of updating my record in the National database paid in full, DRG recorded me as paid in full by consolidation. I now have a loan servicer that is pursuing collections on me and soon will be garnishing my wages. I have spent hundreds of hours calling, mailing, filing complaints. Still, no one has taken the responsibility to resolve this. Ombudsman intake says it's a huge clerical error, not rocket science. Still, no resolve. I'm transferred from department to department... For 9 months. Criminal, immoral, lazy.... Label it how you want. It's trash.

My daughter has been trying for 3 weeks to create an account and we keep getting the same error. I have called 4 times, was told they found her in the system but something is not verifying, tried several fixes nothing. EVERYTIME they transfer me to the "helpdesk" i get " please call back later" . At this point I am not sure what else I can do . I cannot be the only one with this issue. I have submitted a claim, a complaint and NOTHING . So I guess I try again tomorrow and the next day because we have nothing else better to do.

Took a payment from my bank account on 10/16/23, due date, but did not post it to my account. My account is now reflecting a past due balance. I've called several times trying to get this matter straight. No luck at all! The automated system is now telling me that my next payment has doubled for 11/16/23. Please refund my money or apply it to my account! I do not have extra money for you to mishandle!
