I recently had the pleasure of attending the Redding, CA location of 160 Driving Academy, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. I am proud to be a member of the esteemed "One and Done Club," and it's all thanks to the incredible team at this academy.

From the moment I walked in, Joe, the Branch Manager, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. He patiently answered all of my questions and ensured that I had all the necessary information to begin my journey. It was refreshing to encounter such a friendly and helpful individual who set the tone for the entire experience.

Once the training began, Gary, one of the instructors, made the school an absolute blast. His constant encouragement and infectious positivity made each day of training enjoyable. Gary has a unique talent for creating a fun and engaging learning environment while still maintaining the utmost professionalism. I can't express enough how much I appreciated his presence and guidance throughout the program.

Albert, another instructor at the Redding location, truly went above and beyond to ensure that every student received the knowledge and skills they needed to succeed. His dedication to providing one-on-one time with each student demonstrated his commitment to their individual growth. Albert's expertise and attention to detail were invaluable, and his personalized approach ensured that no one was left behind.

I also want to mention Ed, the virtual classroom instructor. Ed made the online learning experience not only informative but also incredibly enjoyable. Despite being in a virtual setting, Ed managed to create a lighthearted atmosphere that kept us engaged and motivated throughout the lessons. His sense of humor and interactive teaching style made the classes both entertaining and educational. Despite the fun, Ed never compromised on the thoroughness and professionalism of the training. He ensured that every topic was covered in detail and patiently addressed any questions or concerns we had. Ed's ability to strike a balance between fun and professionalism made the virtual classroom experience truly exceptional. I genuinely appreciate his dedication and expertise in making our learning journey both enjoyable and successful.

160 Driving Academy is exceptional in many ways. The instructors are passionate about their work and genuinely care about the success of their students. They create an atmosphere of support and encouragement that fosters confidence and skill development.

I cannot recommend the Redding, CA location of 160 Driving Academy highly enough. If you're looking for a top-notch driving school experience, this is the place to be. The team's commitment to excellence, personalized instruction, and their ability to make learning enjoyable sets them apart. I am grateful for my time at 160 Driving Academy and will carry the skills and knowledge gained here throughout my career.

Kudos to Joe, Gary, Albert, Ed, and the entire team at 160 Driving Academy for their exceptional service and unwavering dedication to their students' success. Keep up the fantastic work!

I want to start off by saying I am a recent graduate and a success story at 160 Driving Academy. I liked the way how you
start off by get classroom education and
studing material first to help you prepare for the permit test ... Un like Jiffy and American Truck Driving Schools they want you to have your permit first, before you start there program! 160 Driving Academy makes the permit test much easier by doing it this way. Plus they have a website that has all the extra tools to help you prepare! As for the hands on training part, it's important that you have patience! And what I mean by that is you need to study for your pri- trip first! That is more important than you could ever imagine!! Then work on the back up skills cause that's important too! Most people only want to focus on the behind the wheel for the road time. You will get there don't worry or try to rush it! Because there's so much to learn before you get to that part. Albert and Gary are the guys that have all the tools and skills will you need to get you to pass your behind the wheel test at the DMV. They know there stuff! Just trust in them and you will have success just like I did! I really enjoyed my time there and would recommend anyone who wants to get there CDL license to give Joe the branch manager a call he's easy to talk with and will treat you like a person rather than just a pushy salesman trying to empty your pockets! Thank you

I came to 160 driving academy in March. I began with some previous experience from another program, where I was not abled to complete enough training in time to test. While continuing to pursue my college certificate, I was eager to continue training and was fortunate enough to find a connection that lead me to the 160 team. Joe and the staff, were very welcoming of my interest in the program. Joe was very helpful in taking time to thoroughly answer all my questions and walked me through the process to get signed up. The team was welcoming of my status as a college student, and was very accommodating of my schedule while giving me training hours around my classes. The instructors gave me the opportunity present what I learned from previous training. They supplied me with some new tips, tricks, and knowledge to tie into my existing inspection presentations. Albert and Chris were very thorough with teaching specific knowledge to perform pre-trip and skills training on the trucks. They were very articulate with directions and helped me practice and refine proper skills for performing vehicle knowledge presentations. In addition, the instructors took extra time to create a useful skills training zone for practice. While they are a bit short handed with resources such a vehicles, they use their recourses efficiently, and worked with me to complete each stage to reach the finish line and graduate the program. In addition I passed my test on the first try.

if i could give ZERO stars i would. $5000 and five months later and my partner feels frustrated that he isn’t learning anything and won’t pass. they boast about a 160 hr program but in reality it will be you and 5 other students, 1 instructor, and ONE truck. for 6 people. and that truck is broken half the time. very weird they don’t have an on site mechanic too like other schools. i’d compare this place to like a Western Dental, bad service, revolving door of employees, leaving unhappy. save your money and go to Yuba. at least there you will pass.

Pictures of school in Redding are not reality. They have only one truck, instructors are inconsistent, they lack structure, and have no lesson plan, and you won't get the time behind the wheel they promise. The classroom part is a virtual teacher on a TV screen where you can't ask for clarification on any subject. You are required to sign a contract that outlines the cours study that is completely ignored by instructors.
