I had a great experience at Career Services! My Career Coach Natalie was a big help to me with my resume and navigating job offers. I'd def recommend to any students. Also the front desk staff are SO nice!!

I once went to career svcs for help on a resume and cover letter for a particular job and the woman told me that the job I was asking about— pharmaceutical sales — wasn’t great. She mentioned how unethical the field was. I understand her reservations and I appreciate her keeping ethics in mind, but she said I should apply for a particular job at CS instead because she thought I’d be good. I applied and didn’t even get a call. That genuinely puzzles me to this day over 10 years later. If someone with hiring input is going to suggest I apply for a role because I would be on the short list due to whatever attributes s/he sees in me, the idea is that you’re going to put a good word in for me or even tell them to hire me outright. No call. It felt like she was intentionally wasting my time in order to divert my attention away from a field she personally didn’t like.

I did however get great advice at CS over the years from a guy who has since retired, unfortunately. Larry? Does that sound right?

Terrible at maintaining what each students’s requirements are for graduation. Terrible front desk service aswell.
