I had a great experience with Altamont Healthcare. I am currently in the externship process for SPD tech. And wanted to give a huge shout out to my lab instructor John Lofranco! He made lab so fun even though it can be overwhelming to learn everything. The school and teachers set you up to pass your board exam as well. Overall great experience with them!

I am a Surgical Tech student, and I got to say I couldn't have remembered my instruments if John Spd helped me. His energy is amazing , he's super smart and loves what he does . He is patient and has compassion for his job with spd and teaching students. I highly recommend coming for John in instruments and Stan is CST. they are both amazing instructors that make learning fun and memorable. I highly recommend coming to this program!!

I had a very good experience with Liana as my externship coordinator. She was extremely attentive to my needs and communicated effectively with any updates on placement of extern as well as making sure my pre-requisites were completed in a timely manner.

I am so highly disappointed. I graduated from the Sterile Processing Technician course in February 2024 in the Bakersfield location. I took my board exam about a week later and failed, only to end up receiving it on August 26,2024 because of a grading error so I ended up passing and barely receiving my certification. As excited as I was I contacted Altamont Health Bakersfield to seek help on what my next step would be in going and externing at hospital. I talked to Cristina and even when down to the school in person. All I got was a sheet of paper of the requirements for externship. But no further information about which hospitals I would like to go to. Or anything about the hospital requirements. I genuinely feel lost. I already waited and wasted so much time and the only information I seem to be getting from Cristina is to just apply to any hospital or surgery center. Why pay the 4,000 for the course when they are supposed to take care of that. When you first apply to the school they talk to you claiming that they help you throughout the course, and that they’re there the full step of the way. But you when you go to them for help it seems as though they just want to push you out into the field with no clue on what to do.

Altamont Healthcare is great school that offer quick programs like EKG technician. I did this program here and it was fast! Staff is great. My instructor Linda is very thorough and communicated with students well. The class is very small so we have all the attention we needed during the class. Victoria is the staff there when we came in weekly for the lab is so sweet! She made sure we are comfortable and gave everything we need. She even offered us treats/ food on our breaks because it was night class. The process getting certification after finishing program is quick too. I wish they have nursing or radiology tech programs here. I recommend many of my family members and colleagues about Altamont HealthCare!
