When my son died May of 2023 I had no idea that he was a donor.He had been run over by a car and left in the road to die like a dog.Not only were we faced with the issues of losing him but on top of that of him donating his organs. This is a horrible process something that I hope I never have to go through ever again I felt like they were insensitive to my needs and that the process was just hurried along so that he could just die and they could just take what they needed from him. When I told them that I didn't want this for my son they said I had no choice.

They are HORRIBLE people. They are LIARS just to get our loved ones organs. My mother in law passed in early March 2024 and they completely lied to us just to try to get her organs. We asked them in person if we could ship my MIL to Mexico with all her organs and as whole as possible, but they lied straight to our faces saying that there was absolutely no way it could be done. We were absolutely lucky to have found out before my MIL was robbed of her organs that it could in fact be done. They are predators to vulnerable people who are grieving their loved ones. They move as fast as they can so they can rob your loved ones and to make sure you don't have any time to figure out that they are absolutely trash people. They should be ashamed of themselves.

As a surgical tech I have been hands on multiple times with one legacy in harvesting organs. I have known them to be informative, sensitive, compassionate ect. UNTIL YESTERDAY!!!! You wouldn't provide proof of donor card, were distant and rude when you entered the room, would not provide details of current expectations ect. There had to be a fight to get you removed from the patients ( my family members) case yesterday. The way you allowed my family member to be treated and the way you treated the rest of the family was unexceptable!!!!
Most people don't understand organ donation completely, and they are confused and saddened by the situation at hand. You get these items of life saving organs for other for FREE that is a benefit for many to follow. This should not be taken lightly and should be done with utmost respect. After what happened yesterday with my family member you will be having many removing their name from your list.
