What a brilliant motel this is!
Clean spacious room, crisp sheets - and a superb view of Mt Whitney at dawn.
We had a room on the upper level. It was busy, but there was plenty of space to park below.
I would love to return there. We loved the motel, we loved the town, we loved the hills. A truly magical part of the world!

We enjoyed our stay here. We were on our way through, and my wife selected this place because there was a Hot Tub. And the website specifically stated HOT TUB IS OPEN. when we got there, the hot tub was Not open, and there was no allotment for it not being available. The rooms were clean though and it's across the street from food options. Made it easy to get in and out. We'd stay there again, but next time call to make sure the hot tub is actually open and working.

Perfect place, very clean and quiet, near restaurants and cafes. There’s also a supermarket a few steps away. Comfortable beds, air conditioning working fine and not noisy. It felt very cozy for our family of 3. Check in was easy and room was ready for us at the time we arrived. Big tv with free channels. And last but not least, a beautiful view of the mountains!

I have been staying here while on trips to the Eastern Sierra's for many years. There are two types of lodging here, the Motel is more modern, the Historic Hotel was built in the 1920's. Both are well maintained and the staff are great. The pool and Jacuzzi are open 24 hours and the Lobby in the Hotel is large and comfortable. The location is perfect for activities in the Southern Sierra's including hiking fishing,and sightseeing, all at a fraction of the cost of staying in Mammoth. The town of Lone Pine has more local character than Bishop or Mammoth, though both are a short drive away. I stay in the Hotel and it is comfortable and perfect for my activities. I

Everything was top notch. Room was clean and well maintained. You will also love the snow covered mountain view (in winter). The only wish that I had was that they should provide breakfast at this price range.

Don’t listen to the bad reviews about this place. It’s not the hotel’s fault you didn’t research more before booking. We stayed in the older part of the place and it was wonderful! Shared bathrooms, showers, room, and the whole location was clean. Comfy bed, very well kept. You can tell a lot of care and work went into the upkeep. The town is so cute! We enjoyed our stay very much. Only thing I would have changed was the drippy faucet in our room 😉

Just got back from 3 days in Lone Pine. We stayed here for the first time and why we never did before I'll never know. This will be our go-to motel from now on. From the time we walked in the the beautiful, quaint lobby it just felt so good. It was beautifully decorated for the holidays, but the building itself is amazing. The western theme throughout hilighting the movie industry from the past was everywhere.
The room was clean and very well maintained. We were surprised how quiet the room was despite the highway out front and how full the motel was both nights. We had a beautiful mountain view and woke up to the gorgeous sun shining on the Sierras and Mt. Whitney. All the staff that we had contact with were kind and very knowledgeable about the area and places to see and local restaurants.
We'll be back for sure!

Myself and my friend were pleasantly surprised by this lovely little motel. The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly, and the location is amazing. We still often talk about our visit here. Can’t recommend here enough!
