I came into this school with complete fear and self doubt. Having had a lack of early education and a troubling past with drugs & alcohol myself I did not think I would be able to do well in school because honestly I had never really done school before. I decided to take the leap of faith and enroll. Once enrolled I was placed in a class with about 25 other students and My Professor’s name was Mr. Doyle. From day 1 and the first 5 minutes of class I knew that Mr. Doyle was going to do any and everything in his power to make sure I passed his classes. He was nothing short of amazing the entire year I have been in his class. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cares about how I was doing, and made me feel like there was no such thing as a dumb question. He is extremely humorous, and may be learning fun. I could not be more grateful for having him as an instructor and if you are doubting that you too can do school and become a counselor I am living proof it is possible. Mr. Doyle WILL NOT allow you to fail because he pushes and motivates you to be the best version of yourself!!! Thank you Mr. Doyle for everything as well as Everyone that The Los Angeles Training Institute!!!!

Mr. Doyle is a great instructor! I recommend going to this school! He made me feel comfortable going back to school after 20 years! He prepared me for situations working in treatment I had no idea I was going to encounter! Thank you Mr. Doyle!!!!

My teacher is Mr.Doyle he has been an excellent teacher. He has been informative and truly felt invested in us succeeding. He always takes the time to answer any questions or further explain any information we would like to understand further. I took one star away not at all for the class itself but because the school lacks a student portal so anytime I need my transcripts or want to view my transcripts it requires me to drive to Carson on very specific days. Despite that this has been a wonderful experience and I feel confident that making the decision to go to Los Angeles Training Institute For Alcohol & Drug Counseling will play a crucial role in bettering my future. Thank you Mr.Doyle and to all my supportive classmates.

Mister Doyle is an exceptional professor/teacher. He is stern but fair. Mr. Doyle will go out of his way to assist his students, he treats EVERYONE fairly and with dignity. His passion for his job is intense and, I never really had a instructor with with Mister Doyle qualities also his experience. Mister Doyle does not just talk the talk, he walks the walk! Mister Doyle has helped me understand myself and the Alcohol and Drug counseling profession with clarity. Mister Doyle knows every aspect of the Alcohol and Drug counseling field. I have been blessed with the opportunity to be a student at Los Angeles Training Institute for Alcohol and Drug Counseling. The staff is extremely helpful with any questions. I have gained so much knowledge from my instructor Mr. Doyle and now feel confident in starting my career as counselor. Had a great time and learned a lot at the Los Angeles Institute For Alcohol & Drug Counseling. My Teacher Mr. Michael Doyle is one of a kind, with his life experience and knowledge of addiction he made the class easy to understand and treated every student with respect. By far the best teacher. I would definitely recommend this school for anybody interested in getting into the profession of alcohol and drug counseling.

I absolutely loved my entire experience here at the LA Training Institute. I had passed by the location and saw the sign “Become a counselor in as little as 11 months”. I was so nervous when I began the courses but we instantly went from classmates to a family. Letitia is very organized and she does not play about the school standards and guidelines. Mr. Doyle is an amazing Professor. I was 8 months pregnant as I graduated from the program and all of the staff were understanding and accommodating. They all treat you like you belong. No Professor is going to let you fail any course as long as you’re putting in work and effort. I will always rep for the LA Training Institute! ❤️
