There are few things I have ever experienced in my life that I can recommend more strongly and wholeheartedly than Andrea's Learning Center. Our son attended this magical learning community from age 2 to age 5 and it was one of the best decisions we've ever made. Ms. Rochelle is the type of educator that parents dream of - loving, curious and reliable; an expert at cultivating curiosity and kindness in children; firm, when she needs to be, but always warm. When you send your kids here, you send them into a perfect mix of a "home-like" feeling with an incredibly pedagogy led by experiential learning and the children's' own interests. My son learned everything from how to be a "super friend" to how to read and do math to how to tie his shoes under the incredible, loving tutelage of Ms. Rochelle, her mother Nana and the entire Learning Center community. We will always be so grateful to have had the good fortune to find this special place.

My son started Andrea’s Learning Center when he was 2 years old and he absolutely loved Ms. Rochelle, Ms. Kiki, Nana and Ms. Alma!  Just seeing how eager he was to get his day started was affirmation that he was being treated with so much love and care.  When he started kindergarten, his teacher raved about how smart he was and was super impressed by how much he knew from being with Ms. Rochelle. Now my 3 year old (who started here when she was 4 months) is on the same path with her learning and social skills as my son. I would highly recommend anyone to send their little one here.

Andrea's Learning Center is one of the best decisions we've made for our 2 girls. We love this place! When my oldest daughter's first daycare provider decided to retire, she highly recommended this daycare/preschool. When we came for a tour, we loved it! Our daughter didn't want to leave after being there for only an hour. Now, my youngest daughter goes there and I was sad when my oldest daughter went to Kindergarten and will be extra sad when my youngest goes next year. They love coming to school and always have good stories when they come home.

I highly recommend this preschool. We drive 20-25 min in the opposite direction of our work to bring them here every day. My husband really wanted our oldest daughter to start getting prepared for kindergarten and I wanted her to keep playing outside in the grass and dirt! As I visited schools, my #1 question was, "How much time do they spend outside?" What I felt when we visited Rochelle's, was the perfect blend of outdoor play and learning, along with the preschool and kindergarten prep curriculum! This was the only place that we felt met both of our requirements. Rochelle uses Reggio Emilia style of teaching which is child-led and the kids are exposed to so many different materials to explore and make projects with. They also go on field trips too! (pre-COVID) Rochelle takes lots of pictures to capture the moments, which she uses in a parent app to inform the parents about what they've done each day.

And then COVID happened. Rochelle had to close like everyone else, but she didn’t stop caring for our kids. She recreated her program for Zoom! Our little ones were still able to do their morning greeting sessions with each other. She also scheduled 30 min individual learning sessions with whomever wanted it. All the while, she was researching like mad to figure out how to safely get the kids back to daycare. When she opened in August, we were so ready to have our daughter back in with her and we knew that she and the staff were being safe. When we arrive, she asks the COVID questions to make sure everyone is healthy, and takes their temperature when they get inside. She also reinvented the classroom, each child has their own “home”. They have their individual desk that they can decorate with their artwork. They also eat at their own desk, which are spaced at least 6’ apart. When they are not eating, the kids and staff have their masks on. Yes, even the 2 year olds have their masks on. My 4 year old is better about wearing her mask than my 8 year old because she’s at home most of the time!

Miss Rochelle (Andrea) has a real interest in early childhood education. She continues to go to lectures, reads books about different methods of working with preschool aged kids, and meets with other providers to stay in the know. She has such a way with kids. I have never once seen her raise her voice to discipline them but she can get them to calm down and learn how to regulate their own emotions by simply giving them a choice to excuse themselves from what they are doing to continue fussing or to calm down so they can keep playing. And it works like a charm! I have learned about discipline and keeping my cool by watching her.

I highly recommend Andrea’s Learning Center. I know that my girls have a strong foundation to build on and will always have a place to return to as they grow up.

This place is a gem! As an educator, it is hard to find something that truly matches my philosophy of student-led exploration. Rochelle is inspired by Reggio Emilia and lets the students' interests drive the curriculum. They just finished a big unit on volcanos stemmed by curiosity from  the moana movie. There is a ton of different, developmentally appropriate  materials for kids to explore. Kids get plenty of unstructured playtime but my daughter has also learned so much since being there only a year. She has truly blossomed. They have a morning meeting every day in which they sing songs and decide what to do for the day. They potty trained her, taught her how to spell her name, write letters, count, etc....  I never thought I would put an infant in daycare, but this is such a loving attentive place, that when my son came along, we started him at 4 months. It truly feels like a family here.

Other great things: 4 adults with 12 students, from infants to 5 year olds. I love that multiple ages get to interact with each other. Home made food every day. Field trips (to a farm, natural history museum, county fair etc...). And they make beautiful, thoughtful gifts on holidays.

We absolutely LOVEEEEE this place. My daughter joined Andreas Learning Center when she was 15mo old. She is now 6years old and still shares different stories of her memories there. Laila attended from 15mo- 4 years. It was our first experience having her away from home and they made it like a walk in the park! They are literally a second family. That is the best part, you feel like you’re leaving your children with family. They get to know the child in such a personal way. You can tell that they love all of the children. Ms. Rochelle literally cries at ALL of the graduating ceremonies LOL! I can honestly say they contributed to major milestones in her studies, curiosity, manners, self respect, consideration for others and overall, her character. They are good good people. Each staff member has such patience and care for each child. I could go on and on. If I could leave 10 stars I would. Look no further, you’ve struck GOLD.
