Best place to take your FAA written exams as Ramy is extremely helpful, professional and friendly. I knocked out the FIA and AGI back to back, just ask him if you’d like to take more than one.

Also, CFI candidates should def look into getting their spin endorsement here. Their Robin 2160 is awesome!!

If you want a fun place to come and learn how to fly or just to rent a plane for a couple of hours on a Saturday morning to tour Catalina or Hollywood, Summit Aviation KLGB is the best place to do it. They have a good number and variety of planes from the Cessna 150 to the 172RG. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. The owner is awesome. And the flight instructors are exceptionally experienced and patient and professional. In addition to being an upcoming flight school, Summit is a PSI (formerly Laser Grade) FAA and FCC test center. And the school is now open 2 nights, Tuesday and Wednesday, until 8:30 PM and on Saturdays for those who can't make it on regular hours which are 8:30AM - 4:30PM.

Location offers easy access and parking. The rates are very good. Summit Aviation offers LaserGrade now PSI testing for: FCC test. All FAA testing including Aviation Mechanic tests. Summit participates in the Open Airplane program for ease of renting planes. If you like to be adventurist. Summit Aviation has spin training for those who want to sharpen their skills in airplane recovery and aerobatics. Unless you want to do it for the thrill of it.

Great customer service and no hassle. Perfect location. Several plane options and pricing packages. Very good CFIs. I've taken the demo flight, currently taking private pilot lessons here and will take the written test at their FAA testing center.

Took my Private Pilot Airplane FAA exam here. I brought in a digital endorsement and they were able to print it out because that's necessary as they scan it.

They have a shelf where you can place the belongings that aren't allowed in the test room (e.g. phone, smartwatch, etc).

They provided the book of figures, scratch paper, a transparent paper along with pencils and dry erase marker. They also had a basic calculator and ear plugs, which was super thoughtful!

I took my exam with 3 other testers in the room and the earplugs helped keep noise to a minimum. A plane would also fly by every so often, but was no big deal.

Once you finish the exam, the results are printed out and you're on your way! I passed!

I came here to get my spin endorsements for my CFI rating, Ramy (owner) was super responsive and helpful in getting me set up with a quick appointment. He really seems to care about the experience his customers get. I’ve flown with no less than 13 instructors, a good chunk of the ones in SoCal aren’t worth their weight in water. Scott (instructor) was a totally different story. Super friendly guy and he honestly reminded of talking to forest Gump, if he were an extremely competent aviator. He’s one of those guys whose flown in pretty much every category of aircraft everywhere and has the most ridiculous stories to go with them. I don’t know if he would be the best primary instructor but I really enjoyed flying with him for the spin work and trading flying stories. He spent time to make spin training valuable and applicable which I appreciated.
