If you have a false fraudulent hold on your student account, go to the admissions web page and click on the admissions and records lobby. They will (hopefully) clear your charge after you show your ID. I wish I knew that earlier. The woman working the admissions phone has absolutely no empathy or an interest in helping others. She insisted that the only way to clear the hold on my account was to physically show up at the admissions office and present my ID. I told her beforehand that I live in the dorms of my uni 8 hours away from LBCC for context. She insisted that physically being there was the only way. Which made 0 sense to me because I worked at a hospital and experienced a similar situation, they told me to zoom and show my ID. I asked her if I could do that instead and she responded by parroting herself in a patronizing tone. I started to panic because I needed those credits to graduate from my uni. The only helpful thing she did was suddenly remember that there was a lobby I could go to to zoom/talk with admissions (fourth times a charm). The third time I called she told me that IT had no business handling admissions affairs after I told her about my contact with them. I nearly cried with relief when the actual admissions lady on the zoom asked to see my ID. I practically shoved that thing in front of my camera. Thank you a million to that lady, and to the guy from IT. I really hope this post helps someone, I don't want anyone to go through what I did. Besides that, the class I took had the most lovely professor, I loved her class!

Great Campus! The programs are great, focused on progress. People of all ages, ethnicity, and lifestyles striving to make their life better. The Horticulture program has a great hiden garden. The Metal and fabrication program has a great facility. Auto program also is highly equipped. The staff and teachers are professional, and hard working. Been here 3 years going to miss this place when I transfer.

Early voting and election day voting available at LBCC QQ building, west entrance (next to horticulture on Walnut Ave.).

Nice, comfortable, and completely accessible, including ADA complaint.

Safe, sanitized, with a temperature check as you enter.

Convenient handicap parking spots are reserved for us very close to the building entrance (Walnut Ave side in front of the building).

Lots of parking in the main lot (Orange Ave entrance). And a new parking structure is located at Pacific Coast Highway and Walnut Ave (enter from Walnut Ave).

Swing by if you can and do as much as you can.

Thanks!

Amidst the craziness of the Covid moment : whatta breath of fresh air. My experience with setting up, prepping for, and general anxiety has been overwhelming. Thank God for our city leaders instituting this process. This was way better/painless than I'd expected -- arrived 15min early. Personnel very helpful = process, smooth, quick, and results will be emailed in 2-3 days.

This place provides horrible customer service!
I've been holding for 30 minutes and have yet to speak to a single person!
This is the problem these days, since everyone has gone to online, automated customer service.
The bottom line is all human contact is absolutely gone, which means I'm now frustrated and angry, and all I'm trying to do is ask about registering for a class in the fall.
I am horrified by the decline at LBCC! I'm a graduate of LBCC and can recall when Beverly O'Neill was running the school.
This type of customer service would never have occurred.
So much for technology and "progress"!

Starting with their website that it's SOOO difficult to get just simple information. I honestly sometimes feel like I will have an anxiety attack trying to navegate through it. Trying to find out things like hours of operation, information to register and how much I owe and how to print the charges in an easy reformat. It took me an unexcusably amount of time to acomplished these simple tasks.

In additiontheir, their computer system is very antiquated; even the employees have a hard time working with it. They have very nice new expensive building, ( in my opinion), filled with quiet a few teachers with extensive knowledge, but poor teaching and social skills. I even found one gym teacher that got indignant and treated me (an adult) very disrespectefully in front of another teacher; all because I happened to ask if I could workout at the PCH campus building, rather than stadium building, and I was regiatered for the class was registered for!

Also, their bathrooms are so poorly kept that It's disgusting.

All this said, I am still attending LBCC, because, I am committed to finishing my program, have encounter a few exceptionally teachers, and their computer lab has great people assisting....some better than the teachers.
