We are incredibly thankful for Ascend. We were able to get our son in for an evaluation quickly, and we were so pleased to receive the results within a week. From the very first time I spoke with Corey on the phone, to the evaluation day and follow-up meeting, Corey took the time to explain the process step by step and answered all our questions. Our son has some anxiety, so it was especially important that he felt safe and comfortable throughout the process. Corey did an amazing job making him feel at ease as soon as he walked through the door for his evaluation. I am attending the Ascend Smarter Intervention Summit. Their information, and tools help teachers and interventionists target skills for each student, develop lesson plans, and teach students effectively. This is an excellent program and class for the teacher practitioner!

We received a referral to go see Ascend Learning Center from my sister. I reached to Corey and her team and from the beginning, they have been amazing. Corey was quick to respond (inside of 24 hours which I believe is acceptable.)

From the beginning, Corey was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a great amount of time to ensure we were able to get all of our questions answered. Like many parents, this is our first time dealing with a learning disability so we had many questions and to be quite frank, worried for our child and the future of her education. We do not know all that much about how this process is going to go and the best options for our child. Corey really simplified this process and truly put our worries and concerns at ease.

From that point, we started working with other members of Corey's team and no different than Corey, her team is very knowledgeable and also prompt in getting back with us for communication.

Corey and her team then assessed our daughter and it was about 3-4 hours which they let us know prior to the assessment. I believe this assessment was very thorough and also informative for us the parents.

Meanwhile, we have been working with the school district to also try to obtain help and an assessment for our daughter. Now, what should you do first, the assessment or go through all the steps with the school district? I do not know. We have found that by doing the assessment first, it has armed us with knowledge moving forward and with that assessment, also the guidance from Corey and her team, it has set us up very well to handle the school district. I am not saying the district has been challenging by any means but, by being armed with data and knowledge, I believe through their guidance, we are in the best possible position to help our child.

At this moment, we have not met with the school district which is coming soon but, I am compelled to speak about Corey and her team and the job that they have provided for us thus far. I would highly recommend Ascend Learning to anybody that is inquiring to them for help. I understand that Corey is running a business and in running a business, you need to make a profit but, from the beginning, it never felt like that. It seems like her sole purpose is to help these individual that need help, give them the best setting and tools so our children are set up to handle their lives. There were moments that is seemed like Corey was handling our daughter as if our daughter was her own daughter! I can not speak highly enough about her compassion, touch, and thoroughness with everything.
