Beautiful small museum with California nature themed exhibits. Currently (12/2024) underwater/marine paintings and nature quilts. Great little gift sgop with unique themed gifts. Third floor room with art activities for kids. Only $5 admission for this charming nonprofit museum.

We visited while the museum was under construction, and were surprised that they remained open. Admission was free as a result and we spent plenty of time roaming the photography exhibit on display in addition to watching the whole video about great oaks. Upstairs there was more art and a room with activities like origami. When we returned to the lobby we browsed the gift shop and purchased some local art. The woman in the shop was so excited when we proudly showed her our origami. It was a wonderful time, we can't wait to visit after renovation is complete.

Cool little art museum. $5 for adult admission, children free. Free parking on the street. Amazing nature quilts on the second floor now. Smaller quilts for sale in the gift shop. Native bees on the first floor both the insects and photos with magnified views. Lots of other art on display as well. Well stocked gift shop

Went just after the Thomas Dambo Garbage Troll was installed. Fantastic! Two other galleries had rotating exhibits. Also very interesting. A small but mighty local museum.

This is a great place for those who appreciate art and budding artists alike. The downstairs is a gallery dedicated to fine art. The second floor offers a small exibit of various media and includes a table where visitors can design and mail their own postcards. The third floor hallway is lined with children's art and has a room set up for origami. If your children need a quiet place to get away from the bustle of Solvang downtown, this is a great place for them to relax and create while you join in on their fun.

My husband and I loved the pollinators exhibit at this museum! Great information, great content, and one of the best gift shops we’ve ever encountered in a museum. Great selection of handmade items that accentuated the exhibits. Plus origami?! So fun. Wish we lived closer! We’ll definitely be back though.

A beautiful small museum. The Ansel Adams exhibit was beautiful. The woodblock art was impressive. My favorite was all the small quilt wall art.

I really loved this little museum. It was small but quaint and educational with beautiful pieces on display. There was even a little place to make little origami animals in the educational room.
