This library is bright, clean, and has a wonderful selection of books and resources, along with spaces to sit. Good library!

I used their public computer, it crashed and shut down without warning, library staff were unable to restart it. Lost 1.5 hours of typing on Word, cost me time, labor, travel time, gas. Library staff told me this a known, ongoing problem. I told them they had a duty to disclose and notify all users of this known threat, 1) on their computer reservation process, 2)on the computer reservation printed receipt, 3) posted on every computer. If I had received this warning, I would never have gone to this library to waste my time and labor.

Los Oso Library has been recently remodeled. It is spacious, comfortable, and most attractive. The self checkout works like magic. The staff is genuinely friendly and can be very helpful. There is available a copy machine that makes quality copies for only 10 cents. The children’s section is excellent, and their regular collection is always kept current.

It's a small location, but stocked with plenty of relevant books, films, and helpful, friendly staff! An invaluable addition to the community in Los Osos, especially with their regular community events and activities. Pretty much walking distance for anyone north of South Bay and east of LOVR.

Nice medium size branch library in the SLO county system, great location, nice hours as they stay open til 7pm (currently only Tues and Weds, closed Sun and Mon). Staff is awesome and library has a local feel. Bathrooms have always been clean, the wifi is fast. They have relatively limited space to set up your own computer, as there are two square tables that can accommodate up to four people so you can't spread out when others need the space. Also only four public computers so there can occasionally be a wait for those. This is my favorite library in the area.

Also note this library is very chatty, there is no silence enforced or expected ... you will see the occasional person getting mad at people having conversations until you see the staff also talking in a normal voice. If you want a "library voice" not sure where you'd go, Morro Bay seemed quieter but a local tells me all the SLO libraries are not quiet spaces. Probably you should go to Cal Poly SLO Kennedy Library for a study space 🙂
