I love this pre-school so much. It is such a magical place!

My daughter went here when she was 4.5, and it’s the kind of place I wish I could have attended as a kid. The teachers and staff are incredible. The playground and backyard are huge, and every plant back there is edible! Every day they decide as a class what kind of activity they want to do, from picking lemons off the lemon tree and making lemonade to playing with engineering blocks to playing with the classroom pets.

What a magical place for a lucky kiddo. We will miss it and everyone there so dearly. ❤️

MMNS is a wonderful place for whole child learning with amazing teachers and dedicated staff. I have never seen another school that compares to their outdoor learning yard. It makes you feel right in the middle of nature and has allowed my kids to become strong and curious about the world. I also appreciate how their style is not too regimented and strict. The infant and toddler center is the best and I was always confident and assured that my babies were in good hands.

The best Nursery School in Malibu! MMNS came highly recommended by neighbors who have sent their kids years before. The teachers are wonderful and my 7 month old son loves going to school. I was nervous as any new mother would be, but the teachers made me feel very comfortable and Mick has learned so much already being around the other children.

We are extremely lucky we had the opportunity to send both of our children (ages 3 and 1) to Malibu Methodist. Some of things I found so unique about this school are:

1. Teachers - most of them are very experienced (20+ years) and are genuinely some of the kindest ppl we’ve ever met. They genuinely love these children 🙂
2. Outdoors and nature - nature is a big part of the MMNS experience, which was important for us given we’re coming from NYC where kids are seldom outside. Our son thrived and was noticeably more happy after his first month at MMNS.
3. Independence - both of my children became much more independent after a few months at MMNS. The teachers encourage the kids to open their own lunchboxes, carry their own book bag and express your feelings/ ask for what you want as a way of instilling self reliance and confidence into the children.
4. Parent community- this was a bonus* the kids become so social and eventually friends ( inviting each other to birthday parties, etc) so naturally the parents all become friends as well. It was nice to connect and swap stories with other parents about our shared experience as parents of toddlers. Eventually, we all grew close and did play dates, beach walks and community festivals together. This was the bonus we werent expecting but absolutely loved and it was all thanks to Malibu Methodist. Not every school comes with a “community” (trust me) but MMNS has one to tap into if you’re open to it.

MMNS is a play based Emilio Reggio inspired preschool. My kids both had a great experience and attended this wonderful school for years. It's nestled right across from Zuma Beach. The ground is by far the nicest you will find in Malibu. It is a little paradise for kids. The teachers are all amazing.

Such a nurturing yet practical place. Science-backed and proven strategies for raising great kids. Not religious. If you want reinforcement for good parenting this is the place to go in Malibu.They truly encourage and inspire! You’ll rest easy knowing they’re safe, learning plenty and actually want to go to school in the morning!

My love for Malibu Methodist runs deep. I sent my two boys through MMNS and they both had the most incredible experience being nurtured by the staff that has been there for decades.
