Where do I even begin? I spent four months at Cliffside Malibu four months that saved my life. I have been sober since the day I arrived at Cliffside. The staff were amazing and caring. The Medical staff helped me get through my detox and I wasn't afraid or sick. They kept me comfortable. I had excellent counseling and an individualized care plan. The facilities are extremely clean and absolutely amazing views. Just give it a chance it could save your life like it did mine!

I can’t thank Cliffside enough for the professional, personalized care that I received there several years ago. I am now actively involved in the alumni community where I have formed lasting friendships and support. Kelley Smallwood the alumni coordinator has given so much of her time and attention to making sure that we are supported after we leave the residential community.

The facility was beautiful , the food delicious and nutritious, the groups extremely helpful and my therapist Leah was the best! Everything including our laundry was handled so that we could focus solely on our recovery. I felt safe and cared for and I still do. I highly recommend them when you are ready to heal.

Where do I begin! CliffSIDE MALIBU saved my life to say the least. I came in wanting to do change my life. I was a diamond in the rough 💠. The quality of care I received at Cliffside was unexpected and exactly what I needed. I felt the genuine vested interest in my recovery by everyone I came into contact with - house managers, techs, facilitators, therapist, chefs, house cleaners…EVERYONE! Individual therapy was a perfect fit for me; group discussions were actually informative and yielded lots of take away; facilities were immaculately kept, with issues promptly addressed; food was well prepared with lots of fresh fruits/veggies and home made dressings/sauces. The alumni team also works to maintain the sense of community you build at Cliffside. I am grateful the universe led me here to jump start my recovery (again).

Cliffside is the best rehab facility I’ve been to. From the amazing accommodations to the style of treatment. Having 6 ppl in our house made groups and activities more intimate and allowed for a safe and comfortable environment for me to really open up and be vulnerable. The staff from the techs to the nurses to the chefs all really care about you the addict and not you the dollar sign. My treatment team was beyond great, being able to have as much time as I needed with my therapist and case manager really allowed me to focus on my recovery and forward. Our sober outings was also a huge benefit because it showed me I can have lots of fun sober! Overall I wouldn’t go to any other treatment center. Cliffside is my family and it felt like that from day 1.

I must preface that the reasoning I entered into Cliffside was from a “Nudge from the Judge” but it was very apparent to me and everyone else around me that I was in need of dire help. I spent 90 days at Cliffside Malibu in total. 30 days at CM2 house and 60 days at Horizon Hills (both with gorgeous views).The medical team and Dr. Stanley took amazing and thorough care of me with the proper medications and saw that I was checked on very frequently by the technicians and nurses. I was tremendously malnourished coming in and was brought back to good health by the amazing Chef’s nutritionally-balanced meals and the nurse staff that checked regularly on my vitals, medications and emotional well-being. The carefully designed daily schedule consisted of 4 groups with your housemates and certified counselors where topics such as Relapse Prevention, CBT, DBT, Conscious Recovery and Anger Management and more. Many of the techs and counselors had years of recovery under their belts and I loved having conversations with them to learn how to better deal with my addiction. I was assigned a therapist that I had the pleasure of seeing 3 times a week who will always hold a special place in my heart. My case managers were a saving grace to me as they dealt with insurance issues, court letters and aftercare. They worked as my connection to the “outside world” and I was even able to make arrangements for anything I needed. House meetings were conducted every week where management would come and listen to our needs and make sure that everything in the house was working properly and that all of our needs were being met. The staff truly care about your recovery and pour their hearts into what they do. We were able to be transported to the gym, beach and meetings almost every day of the week. I still attend the weekly Cliffside Alumni Meeting on Wednesdays where I hold a literature commitment. There is always great speakers at the Alumni meeting and I enjoy going back to a place that started to really feel like home. We had the pleasure of getting Sound Baths and Yoga once a week by the talented staff. Weekly massages were also something I looked forward to tremendously given by the highly skilled ladies. I was able to attend a church, which I still attend weekly now that I am home and really enjoy going to.
I’m sure that I missed someone that I would like to thank but the staff is all exceptional. I could go on and on about the positive impact that Cliffside Malibu had on me, it truly saved my life. I made some lifelong friendships while I was there that I will cherish forever. I give it 5 stars and highly recommend anyone battling this terrible disease of addiction, there is a way out. Thank you Cliffside Malibu.
