I am not able to compare to other local surf classes/schools but I am able to tell you there is no need to look elsewhere. This is the one!! My group of 5 left from an amazing experience with the new ability to surf, many frameable pictures and moments that we will remember forever! We are not an athletic bunch and despite our lack of anything sporty to reference we were up on those boards surfing with the help of Anthony & Steele!! My little (9) was the best of us all and did not want to stop. They provided wet suits/boards and they were in the water non stop assisting each of us and helping critique our form as we caught wave after wave. Anthony & Steele are obviously passionate about surfing and love sharing their techniques and knowledge. They were amazing with the kids also. My little plans to continue her journey surfing and found something new she absolutely loves thanks to Always Summer Surf School!! I guarantee you will take away nothing but positives from this experience. Thank you Anthony & Steele!!

Just the best surf school! I don't leave reviews often, but Anthony is THE best surf coach in LA! He's super experienced, extremely patient, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious. I will definitely continue to surf with him and hopefully send my kids to him in the future. I have also tried so many different spots in LA, from Malibu to OC. Board beach, where the school operates, is top-notch – a great place for all levels and not crowded.

Got to take my first lesson with Always Summer School! My instructor, Steele, was communicative so getting to the lesson was super easy. The lesson itself was fun and informative - you can tell he’s had years of experience!
They also offer packaged deals which I opted in for. They not only teach how to surf but also how to read the waves, surf etiquette, etc!
Super stoked to take the rest of my lessons and highly recommend up with them if you’re trying to surf for your first time!

I had a private surf lesson today with Dan. OMG! Amazing experience and super straightforward explanation of the instructor. I like the way he explained and showed everything to me. I was able to stand up right after the theory. Caught multi good waves and had an amazing time! Def recommend this school and especially Dan as the instructor!! 😍

The instructors were very kind and helpful. At the beginning we had a short briefing and then we went directly in the water. It was so much fun. They even took photos of us during surfing and send us them! 10/10

I took myself and two grandsons to the Malibu location and we had a great time Anthony was amazingly patient and the boys were able to ride after a few minutes of instruction. He spent a some time going over surfing mechanics and safety and we were in the water in less than 15 minutes. Very positive experience and we all loved the time there. The boys were very confident working with the instructor and commented on his professionalism. Highly recommended
