Most projects we are working on uses equipment this is old (obsolete) broken equipment that is missing multiple components. Instructors are however VERY knowledgeable and make up for the trainings shortcomings. When we do work on projects taking apart plane parts, majority of the components are missing as well.

We work primarily off of the website canvas. Exercises are majority a waste of time and towards the end of my term here, it got so messed up scheduling wise, we had 1 quiz for the whole week (usually 2-3) and the instructor just gave us the answers to the test because it was over materials that we haven't even covered yet.

Very overpriced for the lack of resources as well. It is faster than attending a 2 year course, but a waste of time if you are not able to pass the licensing tests at the end of it.

Instructors are great, the rest of the program not so much.
Checklist for the surveys on things that should be fixed:

1.) Instructors: Their knowledge and experience in requesting equipment for us students are ignored and fall on deaf ears.

2.) Malfunctioning Equipment: Equipment does not work properly or is out of service, and leading back to the previous point the instructors are ignored when there is a request for new equipment, more equipment for the students, or even new study materials for the students.

3.) Canvas: Leading back to point 1, Canvas is a disaster right now. Whomever is changing Canvas' materials does not listen to the instructors in their requests to have things fixed. For example in one of the courses, an instructor was simply asking for some name changes of files and for more power points be added in for the students to download and review, but instead everything got replaced for a previous, already completed course, and then when said instructor asked to get it fixed by the campus director, he said to just use the previous course materials which skips everything the students were going to learn about.

4.) O&P Preparation: There is hardly any preparation for the Oral and Practical test. The projects are supposedly to help prepare us for them but there are at minimum two projects that have been skipped due to the issues with Canvas. One project for the a course our class is currently on, and another from a previous course due to the fact that there was not enough equipment, and there was even an instructor who requested more equipment so students can complete the project but was largely ignored by the higher ups.

5.) Prepware Focus: While focusing on Prepware for the written is convenient, other than the project, there is no focus on practicing for the Oral and Practical. There is a lot of focus on theory and history of what we are learning about, but half of that time can be used to prepware students for the Oral and Practical along with the allotted amount of time that is given to us for the written test.

This is definitely the best way to go if you're looking to get into the aviation industry. The teachers are well equipped to handle the lessons and you are provided with all the materials to succeed. I served on the student body until I graduated last year, so I had time to work with faculty first-hand. The staff are very down to earth ready to assist. The curriculum is very efficient, but requires you to work. They won't do anything for you but they'll assist in any way the can. You have a lage amount of hands on training so you can get some experience along with the knowledge. Definitely one of my best decisions in life.

I am a Graduate at Spartan College of Aeronautics & Tech of Riverside and just recently got my A&P certificate. The instructors know there stuff! they have seasoned instructors that knows what they are doing and will never steer you in the wrong direction. I even had some instructors that I personally didn’t have would have taken the time out of their schedule to help me out if I needed it. They have also expanded and built a new hanger for there students which is awesome! I personally would give this campus a 10/10! Go get your A&P here!!!

I graduated Spartan College in November 2019. My experience there was excellent. The instructors were knowledgeable and helpful as well as the staff. The Riverside campus was conveniently located and more than adequate for instruction and training. The whole program sets you up for success in obtaining an A&P license certification and I highly recommend this school.

Graduated from here in 2019. Needed a lot of updated equipment such as the demo parts of aircrafts and some tools. Instructors always had to let students know it was old and falling apart. Knowledgeable instructors and each took their time to make sure students understood material being taught. New hangar was being built so things may be different. I did learn a lot and hope your experience is a good one if you're looking to get your A&P.
