Inspirational, motivational, and educational. This museum may be small, but it’s much bigger on the inside. You learn so much and there’s so much hard work and items that have been collected and contributed over time. This place is a golden nugget and I’m grateful to have met the people who work here and helped put it altogether.

This is an amazing place for those who rock climb or like me, love my 45 year old son who does. I learned so much and the little place is full of beautiful pictures and gear that are tastefully and artistically arranged. The man pictured has climbed El Cap 65 times and is one of the originators of this museum. I encourage you to visit it. Very affordable.

Nice little museum with interesting items around the climbing history.
Especially Fotos and original notes and sketches from climbers throughout the history.

A really nice lady offered a guided tour and gave interesting information.
In the small gift shop, there are some nice souvenir - like clothing but even hand signed books are available.

Take a stop when visiting or passing Mariposa!

We have visited the Yosemite climbing museum more than once, it is Awesome! There is so much history in the exhibits, with actual pieces of vintage and modern climbing gear, photos of legendary climbers and informative displays. We were greeted by Nansi who showed us around the exhibits and answered our questions with a smile. We even got to meet Ken Yeager, a legendary climber who first climbed El Capatian when he was in his teens!! How Awesome!
We highly recommend putting the Museum on your list of must placed to visit when traveling to Yosemite National Park
