While theoretical knowledge is valuable, the lack of practical application in some courses has been a recurring concern. The dental assistant classes teachers are awesome they will provide the information you need, however you will be at a disadvantage due to all classes being online. Dental assistant classes you need to have hands on experience . This course did not provide any hands on AT ALL. When you graduate nun of the admin officials will attend the zoom class to congratulate you. You are left to find training and jobs on your own. Please find a school which provides hands on it will be worth it down the line.

I don't recommend this school for nobody because staff members are incompetent. All of my classes were online and at the last minute some of them changed to in person. When time comes to go at the school physically I couldn't go in and even the professors couldn't get in. Why? because they don't know what is going on either at the school. I got the vaccination card, I got the Excelsior Pass, I got the Everbridge pass which they discontinued the app on 09-27-21 to Cleared4. I registered to Cleared4 and I took the COVID-19 test at the school and went to city tech today for my class at 8:30AM and they still didn't let me in. Cleared4 gave me a barcode that I can ID myself at the school if I don't have the green or blue pass and they still didn't let me in. The teacher from EET 2140 knows that not all of his student are cleared to go to the school and he still didn't care. Class started for about a month in a half and I only followed 2 sessions that were online only, and MIDTERM is next week. I contacted the staff members and they still didn't reach back regarding this issue. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT CITYTECH. CITYTECH IS NOT THE SCHOOL.

Worst experience. If you're a part time student that works full time I don't recommend this college. Their office hours are until 6pm. They are available only from Monday thru Friday. The email system (outlook), blackboard, and open lab leaves more to desire. Some prof are great, others are ok. This college charges you a extra fee if you pay online.. It also charges you a $35 for tech fee. I have never used their computer labs, or library.
Aside from my experience I have heard good things about this college. I just regret wasting my time and money on this institution.
I am a transfer student.

Locksmith course Review.
I would NOT recommend this course to anyone. For $1,000 plus, this is waaaay overpriced for what you get in return and for what you are taught. Though it is cheaper then any other money grabbing "trade school " in NY it not worth that amount of money. $300 at best. it is 95% theory, out of a book and videos you can find online. Only 10 to 5% actual hands on and extremely Bare bone basics.
Not taking anything away from the professor because he's been a locksmith for 40 + years, is a good guy and has tons of knowledge to share, but unfortunately the school does Not set him up to fully teach us a full capacity. They stick us in some oooold room in a basement, that has no locksmithing tools, key cutters or anything locksmith related. Their own internet connection was down half the time. The facility and set up is vastly outdated. They also pushed back the start date a whole month because they couldn't fill the class ( lower the price!) Yet acted offended when I asked the office about pro rating me the amount for the month we lost. My advice, find a shop that will take on as an apprentice and save your money.

There was an incident in a classroom setting that was not address at all, allowing the student to act aggressively, due to the favoritism of African americans at this school. This is evident because this student then assaulted his classmate who was not African american and the staff still didn't see this as an issue. The victim seeked advice from the staff on the 4th fl and was accused of aggravating the situation and allow them to address the situation after it went already out of hand. My love one attended this training with 100% attendance and participation and was treated very different. If they had addressed the aggressor appropriately, he would of never felt comfortable to assault the classmate who was not african american. I felt the importance to share my point of view because the staff are very unprofessional, they do not follow protocol to protect each student, instead you need to watch over your shoulder here, and I was treated truly unfair because I was asked to attend a conference regarding my love one being assaulted and sent to the hospital, they had me escorted out the building because they did not want a witness present, this made me feel like my love one was in a very unsafe situation. I would never recommend anyone who is not African American attend any training at this school.

Hard to get in classes. They need to add more available seat for a class. Some classes only have one class available with around 18 seat available.
