I took the ASA 101 course and it was an absolutely amazing experience! The instructors were knowledgeable, patient, and made learning to sail both fun and accessible. They did a great job balancing hands-on practice with clear explanations, ensuring we felt confident handling the boat by the end of the course.

From hoisting the sails to tacking, jibing, and docking, every lesson was well-structured and engaging. The boats were in great condition, and the small class size allowed for plenty of personal instruction.

If you're looking to start your sailing journey, I highly recommend this ASA 101 course. It was a fantastic introduction to sailing, and I can't wait to continue learning!

Had an amazing time learning a little about sailing in the Intro to Keelboat. The weather was perfect and our skipper Cole helped us learn the basics in an easy and informative manner. It was great getting out on the water!

Our sail was great! We enjoyed getting to learn more about sailing and seeing our captain maneuver our boat to retrieve a water bottle that went over the side was exciting and quite amazing. He was excellent as a sailor and as a guide. We all had a wonderful experience.

We have had a wonderful experience at Bluewater Sailing. 3 years ago, in the midst of the pandemic, we looked for a sailing school that was family/kid friendly to learn sailing with our 2 kids. We could not have been happier. The ASA 101 private lesson format offered at that time was perfect for the 4 of us. The program included a lot of hands on practice on the water, which allowed us to build confidence. With ASA 101 in hand, we chartered the Catalina 22 boats on a regular basis to continue to improve our skills while enjoying our time on the water.

We continued our learning journey with ASA 103 in 2023 and more recently ASA 104 in 2024. Our ASA 104 trip to Catalina was simply amazing and the culmination of our 3 years of learning. We also opted for a private format for ASA 104, to share the experience with our kids (now 10 and 14). Our multi-day trip provided many learning opportunities, including mooring/anchoring, facing heavier wind and sea state, learning about the boat systems, galley operations and coastal navigation. Beyond the learning opportunities, this trip also offered great memories and simple moments of relaxation in the great outdoors.

Bluewater is an exceptional company with extensive knowledge and outstanding service. Sailing has been on my mind for a long time and has become a significant item on my bucket list. The moment I stepped into the Bluewater office, I knew I was in the right place and that I would be well-taught and cared for.

That's where my journey to learn how to sail began. I completed the 101 Beginning course and continue to take classes. I've met some wonderful people, and the close-knit community is fantastic.

Bluewater Sailing is the real deal! They take sailing very seriously and are very thorough in their education. If you want learn how to sail, really learn, and have those skills hammered home through repetition, classroom and practical studies, (all in a fun supportive setting), then you need to go to Bluewater. I just completed my first sail with no instructor and I was 100% confident out there! I know I am well-trained at my vessel rating and I look forward to enjoying multiple sales with my family while I build up my hours for the next level of training in the larger boats. Not only are the classes educational and very thorough, but they’re also a lot of Fun! Their instructors are very personable and take the time to listen and respond to your questions and concerns. I thoroughly enjoyed all my classes and I made new friends along the way with my new crew. I highly recommend Bluewater Sailing.

Bluewater has consistently done a great job teaching sailing courses. I've completed the 101 and 103 courses, and found them both to be very valuable. They have a good small fleet of sailboats that can be chartered, too. Highly recommend.
