Atmosphere is "dive bar", but cozy. Drinks have increased in price over the years, but still reasonable compared to other establishments. Strong drinks for reasonable prices ... IMHO ... is the primary attraction and consideration for becoming a member. Fundraisers for charities are basically only a small sidenote. The four precepts of the FOE organization (Liberty, Truth, Justice, Equality) are seldom observed by the club's officers, who often generally land conspicuously distinguish themselves from other members, and also often consider themselves exempt from house or organization rules.

One thing that isn't enjoyable is receiving routine letters (snail mail announcements) from the freakin' "Neptune Society" .. sent through the FOE ... because (and this is sarcasm) who likes anything better than being persistently reminded of their own mortality and the mortality of their loved ones..? Not me.

My family has gathered here for decades going way back 60s., Felix' family, Cano married to Helen, Josie Mohon, Cookie Felix, Francis, Mollie, Lecha, my mom Tootsie, Vete and generations of cousins still attend. Today, Jan. 20 2024 they are holding funeral services for my cousin Concha Morales. 💔 The last of that generation.

In all honesty, it's small and dated, but I love it just as it is. My Uncle & Aunt were long time members since back in the late 50s-early 60s. I spent many of my childhood days here., lots of memories. My Uncle has since passed and I believe my Aunt is still a (non-active) member, and now I come here as an adult for special events and fundraisers and many times for funeral receptions for family and friends. Nice to gather here. It has a permanent piece of my heart💚

Very private club. It's a pretty low key, kinda layed back place. No frills, no fancy pants, no b.s. Just a good time, if you are a member. That's right, Members Only.

OUR GO TO FAMILY SPOT FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS..I MET TINA MARIE'S MOM AND DAD HERE..THEY USED TO HANG OUT WITH UNCLE AND AUNT..SO WE ALL HUNG OUT AND HAD DRINKS..VERY NICE PEOPLE
