Not a good experience and I filed a grievance with my insurance company for sending me there. The male technician was rude, cynical, and argumentative. It was quite startling. He did a preliminary ear exam and determined there was a silicone rubber part from my hearing aid stuck inside my ear canal. Instead of explaining that he simply said, “that’s all we can do today for this appointment. There’s a dome in your ear”. I had to prove to get a n explanation; 1. What’s a dome? 2. What are you talking about? Etc. He would only give one word answers until I managed to get the full picture of what he meant. Apparently the silicone cover on the earpiece of my hearing aid became lodged in my ear canal and had to be removed. After several follow up questions I learned he was not qualified to remove it and I subsequently spent 18 hours finding assistance at a local ER.

I'm very happy with my new hearing aids, but there's more to the story. I came to HearUSA from Kaiser which, under our coverage, gave me a $4,000 discount on these hearing aids. In our first meeting, Dr. Lindsey gave me a choice among three options - good, better and best. I chose "better," and went off with hearing aids to replace my 6 year old hearing aids that were in sore need of replacement. Anyway, after a few weeks using them, I got to wondering what would have happened if I'd chosen "best." I called and got an appointment, and just before Thanksgiving, I walked out of the Marina del Rey store with new "best" hearing aids. That's only a few days ago - less than a week - but I knew immediately that these "best" aids are really much better than "better." Plus, I'm now making and answering phone calls using the bluetooth connection with my hearing aids. I'm so happy I upgraded to "best" and am writing this review in a state of joyful gratitude at how much better these are allowing me to hear. Five stars for HearUSA, MdR and Dr. Lindsey and her staff.

I visited the HearUSA location in Marina Del Rey for my hearing test and hearing aids. The audiologist Lindsey was so knowledgeable and explained my hearing loss in easy to understand way. She also went out of her way to advocate for me with my insurance so that I was able to purchase the highest quality aids at an affordable price. Saved $4,000 at this location! Appreciate the excellent customer service provided to my family member by the staff at this location. Ruben and Lindsey, the Providers, are professional and attentive. My family member's provider is Lindsey, and Lindsey is dedicated to serving her patients with the highest level of care and ensuring that procedures/protocols are carefully followed.

I'd like to take a moment to appreciate Lindsey's efforts to reduce my family member's out-of-pocket copay for the hearing aid which was ultimately purchased. The hearing aid was $6,200, and after the insurance benefit was applied, the out-of-pocket copay was going to be $4,200. Lindsey mentioned that my family member should contact their insurance provider to see if a plan change could increase the benefit / reduce the out-of-pocket copay. After calling the insurance and hours of speaking with multiple individuals, who were all professional and courteous, such as Emily, Danielle, Jovi, and Alice, we were ultimately successful in changing the insurance plan, increasing the benefit to $6,000 and decreasing the out-of-pocket copay to only $200. This seemed like nothing short of a miracle, and but for Lindsey's advice/encouragement, my family member would not have been able to save $4,000.

Nubia, the technician, is helpful, and Kameron at the front desk does a great job of creating a welcome environment. I highly recommend this location and the HearUSA team!
