WPNS is an incredible play-based preschool that has been a true blessing for my child. When my son first started, he was shy and hesitant to engage with others, but the warm and welcoming environment at WPNS helped him break out of his shell. The teachers use play and interactive activities to encourage socialization and friendship-building among the students, and it has paid off. My son is now thriving at WPNS, making new friends every day and growing more confident with each passing day. The staff are all so kind and caring, and they provide a safe and supportive environment for the children to learn and grow. I am so grateful to have found WPNS and highly recommend it to any parent looking for a high-quality preschool experience.

We have been at WPNS for almost 2 years now, we joined when the school was just getting comfortable with the new pandemic protocols. When people ask what we like most about the school we say the teachers and the how happy our kids are at drop off and pick up. The teachers are amazing and support the entire student - their academics, their well being, their diverse cultures and their specific learning needs. The director Joyce has a special way with the kids. She seems to really understand what each student & the teachers need to be successful. She spends most her day in the classroom, and takes those understandings into consideration with the administrative decisions her role requires of her. I've called her on numerous occasions to ask for personal advice regarding my kids and handling what life throws at us and she makes time for everyone and doesn't complain about it. All the full-time teachers seem to actually enjoy their roles. They hug our kids, they love on our kids, they work through big feelings with our kids. I love that I can trust them to care for my kids especially when my tank is running low. I know I can count on them to help bridge the gap. The parents and especially parents on the school's board are so kind, they care about the entire community and create awesome actives for families to come together among many many other things that help the school thrive. Community is what we as parents need most and if you have none, or are looking to expand yours, check to see if WPNS will be the right fit for your family.

My son has been going here since he was 2 years old and he loves it! WPNS is a very special place because it focuses on the whole child and their ability to grow socially, emotionally, and academically. It is a school where the teachers and staff foster a love of learning through play. Also, WPNS is a school that celebrates diversity and focuses on meeting the individual needs of each child. My child is Autistic, and the director, teachers, and staff fully embrace who he is, while appropriately challenging and supporting him to learn and grow. I could not ask for a better learning environment for him.

Lastly, because WPNS is a co-op, there is a strong sense of community that is unparalleled to any other school in the area. Although parents have more obligations than a typical preschool, we have developed relationships with other families that will last a lifetime. If you haven't checked out WPNS yet, you should. You will be happy you did.

My son has attended WPNS since August 2022. He went from a part-time schedule in fall to full-time this spring and we've noticed the difference. I'm amazing at his growth and development. He has matured tremendously. He is better able to express himself verbally, he's confident in what he has to say, he's more considerate and compassionate, and he's excited about his experiences with the school. The teachers are wonderful and patient and work well together as a team. Everyone is caring and really get to know your child. I couldn't be happier with the family experience we've found at WPNS.

If i'm honest the initial reason I sent my daughter to WPNS was the affordable price point - VERY rare these days! - and that I could walk there with my girls. It's turned into much more than that for my daughter and us! I love that she has blossomed there. I'm constantly blown away how the teachers are able to not only keep our kids safe all day but intimately know each and every one of them and what they need. On top of all that they do in a day they're constantly planning and executing the sweetest activities that are truly above and beyond, and I have no clue how they do any of it. This is a coop, so parent involvement is expected. I think it's what you make of it, and for us once we got through the learning curve it's more than worth it and is even fun and way to create community if that's what you're looking for. WPNS is a large open space split up into smaller focused spaces and back garden area perfect for getting barefoot and dirty. There are boundaries in place with a lot of freedom in the middle which I think has worked great for my daughter.

WPNS is such a beautiful, magical school with the best teachers and staff. I have sent two kids through WPNS and they have both thrived. My oldest child is ahead in both reading in math in elementary school and I credit WPNS for that.

I did not know much about play-based curriculum until WPNS and I am a firm believer in it now. It has truly been a game changer for our kids. It is a very kind and encouraging environment for a child to thrive.

I could not recommend WPNS more! My older daughter attended this preschool from age 2.5-4.5. She was an extremely shy girl, reserved, liked to observe from the sidelines, and didn't speak up much. A few months in, she was belting out "Let It Go" for the whole school to hear at pick-up time. This is a wonderful play-based school that allows children to learn so many things through messy play (and your kids WILL get messy). An added bonus is the wonderful community of families you get to meet when part of the co-op. My younger son just started and he already loves it!

Perfect school for my son (3 years old), who is very active and has a lot of "big emotions". If you want to pick up your kid at the end of the in pristine condition, who sat nicely at a desk all day - this is not the preschool for you! If you want to pick up a HAPPY kid who will probably have paint on their shirt and sand in their shoes but will have a full heart, WPNS is the school for you! I also appreciate the flexibility in their schedule, offering early drop-off and late pick-up options. As an added bonus, it was one of the most affordable options around.
