Sunshine House Preschool has been an amazing experience for our family! We’ve seen tremendous growth in our two children, and they’ve made wonderful friendships along the way. The staff is warm, caring, and truly dedicated to the kids. The activities are always fun and engaging, keeping our children excited to go every day. Sunshine House has been an incredible place for our children to grow and learn. The teachers are so kind, patient, and nurturing—our kids truly feel loved and supported every day. It’s a safe, welcoming environment where children are encouraged to explore, build independence (like washing hands and putting on shoes), and develop social and academic skills at their own pace. Sunshine House is a great preschool that I highly recommend for your family.

Sending our children to Sunshine House Preschool has been the best decision we’ve made to support their early education. Our older son attended Sunshine House and is now thriving in kindergarten. His teacher has told us that he is meeting and even exceeding developmental milestones—he can count to 100, do simple math, and write almost all upper and lower case letters! We credit so much of his success, both academically and socially, to the strong foundation he received at Sunshine House.

Our younger son still attends and is thriving as well. The teachers are incredibly kind and patient with the kids, which has given us so much comfort. The mix of one-on-one teaching and small group instruction allows each child to learn at their own pace. They also have an amazing outdoor play space where kids can explore and be active. Not to mention, they are instrumental in navigating the potty training journey!

I truly appreciate the nurturing environment and the individualized attention my kids have received here. I highly recommend Sunshine House Preschool to any parent looking for a caring and supportive place for their children to grow and learn.

The staff at Sunshine House are amazing! My son is always happy at drop off. I feel this is a safe place for kids and that they really do care about them. They are always responsive in person or by text or call. I would highly recommend this place. I’ve looked around at other schools but this place is hands down a safe and fun place to be at.

We had nothing but a positive experience with our eldest son being cared for by Sunshine House. He was well prepared for Kindergarten. They helped with potty training too. It was a no brainer for us to enroll his younger brother when the time came. Their waitlist fills up quickly, but don’t let that discourage you. Call them regularly to inquire for any potential cancellations and openings!

We began Sunshine House (in Concord) in 2021 for our youngest daughter at 2 yo. The teachers were very welcoming and aware of the hard transition our little one was making into a "busier" environment during the pandemic. They really helped ease my little one into the flow of school, and being around other kids/teachers.

1 minor issue I had was that they kept diapers on my little one during nap time only, and remove them before she left for the day. However, we were in the middle of potty training her, and I feel this threw off her schedule/behavior for potty needs. I was only made aware that they were doing this when they forgot to remove the diaper after her nap time, and she was being picked up already- I found the diaper on her. I voiced my concerns right away, and they said they would not do it again.

A little over 1 year in, we were so fortunate to transfer into Sunshine House in Martinez, as it was a more convenient location for our pick up/drop off schedules. And wow, the love and attention they were able to give my little one was wonderful! The similarities of the physical set up of the school and schedules matched so well, that the transition for my little one was pretty seamless!

All the teachers here at Sunshine House Martinez, are consistent and not a lot of turn over, so we have gotten to know them well and they have built a good relationship with our little one. I feel like they know my husband and I, and my kids on a personal level - we feel so welcome and invited.

They have a wonderful outdoor play space and inside there are many different rooms designated for certain activities and classes for the kids. The kitchen and eating area is large and well kept! Always somebody in the kitchen prepping snack time when I come!

I hesitate to remove 1 star because of the increasing tuition prices. The cost has been such a stretch for us, but the Admin staff and teachers are so accommodating and explain the reasoning for their needs. The school raised tuition on us at least 3x in the past 2 years, in increments, to match what they charge at their other sister-schools. Overall, child care costs everywhere are crazy enough, that we just knew we had to stick to this and make it work.

Our little one just graduated and finishing her last summer here, it is bitter sweet to end, but we feel she is ready to take on the next adventure!

Thank you, Sunshine House, for taking such good care of our little one. We won't forget you! You have been an amazing influence in my child's life - we know she will thrive from your loving hands and guidance!

Three of my kids have gone to sunshine house and we absolutely love it there. The teachers have treated our kids like their own. They are all so welcoming and our kids love them all. My kids have learned so much during their time there and love going to school. They love circle time and playing in the amazing backyard area. The team at Sunshine House has great communication and is wonderful at answering all questions. I would recommend Sunshine House to everyone. Finding a preschool/daycare can be so stressful but we’ve had nothing short of an amazing experience with Sunshine House. We cant wait for our next little one to go there.
