It was our time to this store and didn’t know what to expect. It’s more like a Japanese dollar store or family dollar. Lots of unique snacked, kitchen wares and household items. Very good prices set in a clean and organized store. One thing to note is that it’s literally connected to a Ben Franklin craft store. So take notice of the signage’s. There’s free parking in front of the store and on the side of the store via the Ben Franklin entrance. And it’s a must visit for a lot of locals, but visitors should check out too.

This place is awesome and has a lot of things to look at even though it's a little bit crowded. The staff is really friendly and nice! (Besides a couple of them but that's okay!) The prices are great and reasonable. Some of the shelves are a little empty but that's due to it being so newly open, so I'm sure they will restock as well. I am so happy that Daiso is here in Hilo because that will limit going to oahu for now. This place is a really must see if you really love Daiso. I took As many pictures as I could even though I was shopping 🛍 lol

Daiso is originally a Japanese one-dollar shop. If you travel in Japan, it would not be difficult to see and visit this store. They sell various items for living, and most of the items are useful for life. However, there are not many items in the Hilo store, and you may not be able to find the items you want.

Whenever I am in need of a specific item, I visit Daiso first to check if they have something similar. I've bought plastic containers to organize my kitchen, kitchen gadgets and plates that I never thought I needed, cute stickers and stationery, hooks and magnets, nets for vegetable garden, and a fairly nice case made specifically for Nintendo Switch. Some products don't last long and are not good quality but most have held up surprising well. Great location with ample parking and staff are friendly and helpful.

Great shopping experience! I love stopping at Daiso when travelling, wish I had one locally! Prices are cheap, and such a huge selection of adorable items! So many cute stickers and stationery, as well as cooking utensils, decor, kids items, something for everyone! Highly recommend checking this store out, especially if you like Japanese items!
