Quality wing foil rental gear is hard to find -- but this place blew away my expectations. I think this is the only shop that rents wing foiling gear in Oahu; regardless, this is the only place I'll go to in the future. I visited from SF and brought my own gear except for a board, and Josh offered several top-notch, practically brand new 2024 90L boards to choose from. He even broke out a pair of new footstraps and mounted 'em on the board for me. Most recommended!!!

This was by far one of the funniest things I've done in Hawaii and I've been living here for about 8 years. Josh the guy that was my instructor was so patient and so relaxed and his approach to teach me how to effectively and safely handle the equipment. Such great professionalism and Aloha. It really gave me a good feel for the sport of kite surfing and how much fun I could have doing it for years to come. It was amazing to hear that he'd been doing it for almost 25 years and the love for the sport hadn't faded away even for a second...it really was an inspirational moment for me. It was great seeing other kite surfers out there I felt really included and I love the community. Everyone was so helpful. If you're thinking about trying this out definitely don't hesitate give it a chance working with a person like Josh will definitely make you feel like you're in good hands.

I took a couple of kiteboarding lessons with Ray, an excellent teacher. He got me up and riding sooner than I expected, and I made good progress. Their equipment is first rate, as was Ray's teaching technique. I learned a lot in the space of just two hours per lesson, and plan to return when I'm back on the island. Highly recommended!

We scheduled 5 surfing lessons over 2 months with Arlene and Reese, and my daughters really enjoyed it! Although we live here, my daughters were never really into surfing. First, the sessions were at their store explaining what they needed to do when they got to the beach, and then once in the water, they supported them, teaching each at their own levels. Now they want boards and are confident on going out on their own. Huge Mahalos to Hawaiian WaterSports to their expertise and professionalism. They are an awesome locally owned and operated operation!!

Wanted to try windsurfing for the first time with my partner, the instructors were super friendly and patient with us practicing. The two-way headsets were nice too so you could hear them over the waves crashing. I would 100% recommended learning from these people!
