Our first year with Rise Volleyball Academy there were issues with keeping coaches and my daughter's team went through 3 different coaches that season. The one we ended the season with made us hopeful the next year would be better.

The second season was better overall until a bunch of players quit and then they didn't have enough people to play in tournaments. Players from younger teams would fill in, but every game and tournament was inconsistent. Be prepared to lose...a lot. When you're not practicing with the people who are filling in, it makes working together all that much harder.

This was the third year in a row that my daughter's team had coaches that had no actual experience coaching. Unless your daughter is on one of the top teams you won't get a seasoned coach; one that is experienced with the game, managing teens and overall support. When there was a conflict the only thing my daughter got from the assistant director was bullying and intimidation which was completely unprofessional.

For the amount of time, money and energy spent to play these past few years, I would recommend going elsewhere. Find a club team that actually teaches instead of Rise's philosophy of 'play to learn'. As other parents have said, the players get little to no coaching and were not properly instructed on skills.

My daughter has been playing here recreationally and for Club for several years now. She would not play for any other place. He time spent here has drastically made her a better player and more confident in herself as well. We highly recommend Rise Volleyball Academy to get your girls started with volleyball here and then they can decide for themselves if they want to continue on into the more competitive club teams or continue having fun in the recreation teams. Either way, they will have a good time and great experience.

Here for a HDVL tournament. Bathrooms have not been cleaned for some time, trash is overflowing. Every emergency light is hanging from the wall by the wires. The whole place feels dirty and run down. Hope there isn’t a fire because between the lights and more people in the building than the stated capacity, someone is going to die.

We LOVE Rose Volleyball Academy! Our girls both play (9 & 15) and have such a love for volleyball because of this club. Loren and his coaches definitely coach differently - always with the player’s best interest in mind. They have grown so much under his direction and we are forever fans.

My daughter loves playing volleyball at rise. She has improved significantly these past few months and is looking forward to another session and summer camps. The only issue I have had is the times are slightly inconvenient. She plays from 4-5pm which is difficult to get her to on time.

Loren is a nice man but I tired of watching my niece lose most of the time. His philosophy is interesting but not for us.

Most amazing volleyball facility in the treasure valley. The things they are doing in this gym are innovative and excellent. The best coaches and environment anywhere.
