My daughter went to River Academy when it first opened up and stayed until the 2020 pandemic hit. The facility is very nice and owner and staff take a lot of pride and personal ownership in providing a wonderful experience. The Director Amanda mentioned that she’s always looking to make things better and it’s obvious that she means it. Boise lacks high quality childcare but River Academy, fortunately, is the exception. I am so confused as to why there bad reviews.

Now several years later we knew it was the place we felt comfortable sending our baby boy. He has been attending since he was 7 weeks old and is thriving. At 8 months old he just started pulling himself to standing, is a healthy little eater and always strolls in with the biggest grin.

As a mother of 3 I’ve always felt it is important to build good relationships with teachers. River Academy’s quality staff makes it easy. The genuine affection and constant communication for has been such a relief. My baby is always smiling when he enters the doors.

My son has been going to River Academy for a year and some change now, maybe almost 2 years now. He has progressed in so many ways with his speech, his listening, his eating, his learning, and in just about every way. I have never been nervous about the care of my son there. I have experienced every single teacher snuggling my son and showing him love. Amanda the director is incredible and extremely efficient. Any concern I have ever had, she has immediately addressed it and fixed it. My son loves the facility, his classmates, and his teachers. I only have one son, so to be able to go to work with no worry about his care is a huge relief for me. I owe so much to the girls! Thank you ladies for always loving my son and caring for him like your own, you each hold a special place in my heart for the amazing service you provide.

This is a fantastic daycare. We have been here nearly a year, with our son starting when he was around 5 months old. Having had a poor experience elsewhere, we needed a place in a pinch, and it was so calming when Amanda answered the phone and said there would be space - most other places just direct you to a never ending waitlist.

The building is purpose built, spacious and is kept nice and cool and has great outdoor space for both the smaller kids and the older ones. They have food made fresh on site daily, and a wonderful group of carers on staff who really know our son. They have got him into an amazing nap routine, eating a wide range of food, and developing his motor skills.

In particular, we've loved Caty in the infant room (who is often taking care of kids from 7 weeks old) and Catelyn and Hannah in the next room up, but everyone else we've met or had care from has been fantastic. Amanda + Gianna on the front desk are always warm, friendly and helpful, as is the owner Steve.

If you need care in this area, you should definitely go take a tour and chat to other parents passing through the lobby.

So My wife and I decided to give this place a chance, despite the other reviews we read. We did a tour of facility and like the openness, curriculum and separation of age groups. We had a bad experience from another preschool. Cramped conditions and over rated day care. We wanted a preschool, that had a curriculum. We have been pleasantly surprised. Staff has been welcoming. We receive daily updates of our child through a portal. After speaking with my daughter about her experience there, I am convinced we made a good choice. She enjoys all the activities, teacher, students and meals. Everyday she is excited and does not want to be late to school. 🙂 This place so far has been head and shoulders compared to our last place. I can't speak on 3 months ago, but I can only share what I am personally experiencing with my child. Keep up the great work River Academy. This parent appreciates it and is taking notice.

My two-year-old daughter goes to River Academy Preschool in Eagle two times a week and has been there for six months. My daughter was home with me prior to bringing her to a preschool so I was VERY nervous and uneasy about the whole thing. The staff has made me feel at ease each step of the way. They welcome my (sometimes numerous) check up calls. The teachers are caring and I completely trust my child with them and anyone else under their roof. The location is new and amazing and bright. Their outdoor equipment is so fun! Go tour any time to see for yourself.
