I’ve spend hundreds of hours out here working & training alike. Very windy, very dusty, and very austere environment. If you’re training here, the government activates the Weather Intense Network Device (WIND) prior to your arrival and you’ll hate your life. Hope ya brought enough ibuprofen and socks! Check Rog, DRIVE ON!

When we first moved in dust was everywhere, but we were expected to clean like no one lived there. Overall it was a nice stay, but there was a lot of weird things that happened. Birds would fly into the windows and kill themselves, or fly under the car. Also we were told that there is wifi but it wasn't there, then we were told that it will be fixed on Monday (in two days), well it wasn't. It was only fixed on Friday one day before we had to leave. Would not recommend.

Took two weeks to fix internet in the barracks. I was only there for two weeks! Phone reception was weak and spotty. It was OK for training but I would not stay there for anything else, a bit isolated.

My buddy got bit by a badger while relieving himself into its hole here 10 years ago. Good times…

Wide open ranges to fire on. Can be cold when the wind blows, or hot when the wind blows. Range control personnel friendly and helpful.
