Great place for a large family reunion. The AC dinning hall fit 85 people with room to spare. The beach was fun and had good sand. The grassy area made a great place to play volleyball.

Great BSA camp. Our boys enjoyed it but called it "summer school." Not really a negative reflection on the camp just their take on the week. I thought the staff were great and very friendly. It doesn't have all the amenities that we have back home. And cleanliness is lacking. But it's certainly more clean and organized than other backwoods adventures. Overall I am happy and would gladly return. The last 2 nights with honor trail and closing campfire were certainly the highlights of the week.

Loved this scout camp! Small, cozy, everything within a few minute walk down the trail. The staff hearts were in the right places and everything from the skits, cheers, etc were done with 100% commitment- which eliminated the awkward/immature feel that goes along with many of the other scout camps I've been to. Brian, the main camp coordinator, was a rock star... His expectations of his staff was through the roof as it relates to providing the scouts with the BEST experience. He lead by example, and his camp counselors became rock stars too. The negatives of the camp, (which i think are unavoidable comes with the scouting territory)... teenage boys trying to teach a subject, with no teaching experience. Keeping kids attention and be highly engaging is a difficult task for young staff members. As with other scout camps- boys come back and say the class was boring and found ourselves forcing kids to go back and finish the last step or two of the merit badge. But again, boring merit badge classes are found at any/every scout camp - and can't blame Camp Hunt. As for everything else, Camp Hunt is located right on the shoreline of Bear Lake, millions of stars twinkle at night (free from light pollution), the camp store is reasonably priced with pocket knives and other cool scout gadgets, oh- and their soft serve ice cream is AMAZING.

This is the best place on earth. Even though it is next to the road there is still so much wildlife and the feel of the camp is so good. Also the flag retirements are so respectful and so meaningful there.
