If you love your kids DON’T send them here. This place claims to care about young adults and their mental health along with their education however they prioritize one over the other. They preach freedom for your young adults and this is a lie. They rule through an iron fists with their “suggestions”. When they suggest a plan or anything you do not have a choice. Their so called reset house to help your young adults grow is nothing more than a punishment that awaits you if you disagree with anything. They also like to claim “everyone has their own plan” which is an excuse to not follow their own rules. Asking for support may lead to your punishment.

Teague is great and the only reason why they are getting one star.

We've worked with the staff and owners at NWCS and are very impressed with their program. They really do have a heart for helping and improving the lives of students. The program is comprehensive and they have a lot of experience. Highly recommend them.

I found everyone I interacted with to be warm and kind professionals who genuinely care about the students. However, at this price tag I expected far more efficacy and organization. For privacy reasons I won't detail our experience publicly, but I would encourage you to reach out to me directly for more information during your decision-making process. In hindsight, I would have made a vastly different investment in my child's well-being.

If you actually care about your kid getting help and support, DO NOT SEND THEM HERE! 99% of the staff do nothing, they don’t take you to work on time, or to school on time, don’t keep the environment safe, and basically scam you out of money for nothing in return.

NWCS dropped the ball with my teen and then ghosted us. Once you sign the contract, access to leadership is gone. Actually there is no leadership, and staff turnover is incredibly high (for a reason) - definitely ask what the average tenure of the staff is and if they tell the truth, you’ll see. Note that the founder, shown front and center on their “Team”, isn’t even active in the organization anymore (outside of collecting profits). Would have given just one star but I think my kid was safe there. That’s not enough but at least it’s something. You can do better, keep looking.

At first the program was a little iffy and I was a little sus about it. But now that I’ve been here for a couple months it’s gotten better. At first Julie was a little difficult but eventually we got along and she found out she had to put her director hat away when with me. She is very funny and I love the staff here. Coeur D Alene is gorgeous and a great place to check out. This program is great after a little bit. It takes time to get used to it but it feels like a little family here and it’s very nice and fun.

While the program is not perfect, it's a great place for an aspiring independent adult or college student from 18-26ish years old to go to. My low score is because of the program manager and head-therapist Julie. At first she was a nice person, but then after she became apart of my team, she took control over everything. It's her way or the highway. Instead of being able to focus on my mental and physical health, my education and work, and on my social life, I had to focus on keeping what I had left because of her. I do have fault in my actions, but they could've at least come to an equal understanding. Also, the communication. Most of the time I am in the blue on what my goals, plan and what the rules are of the program. All in all, I recommend doing your research on this program, because while great, it's expensive and controlling. Julie only seems to care about whats next on her schedule, what new student can come in and replace me to continue the funding of the program and the cash in her pocket. I say go to this program, but do not get Julie on your team and be vigilant of the schemes going on. Also, Ceour d'Alene is a beautiful little town especially during the summer and I advise you go check it out no matter what!

My son benefitted from his 10 months at NWCS. I know the professionals who worked with him did their best. My low rating is because I have made a simple request of Dan, the owner, and that is to provide me superbills (or a superbill) for all the therapy he provided. This would net our family $3,000 or so. I have asked probably 40 times and he does not respond. I don't understand.
