My daughter has been dancing at Alta for 4 years (working towards 5 because it’s the best). Both my daughter and I absolutely adore Monica and have known her since starting classes at Alta, she is so incredibly kind. I couldn’t have asked for a better dance teacher and role model for my daughter. My daughter also had Brynn as an instructor for one class and loved her too. I have nothing but great things to say about Alta and the instructors. ❤️

I have also taken the adult ballet class a few times and really enjoyed the experience, it was always a lot of fun.

Monica and her team at Alta dance are doing an amazing job. My daughter was in Hummingbirds this year and Monica was incredibly patient and very good at keeping the kids engaged for the entire 45 minute class. She was very good at keeping in touch with us parents and updating us on what was going on as well. I will be recommending Alta to anyone looking for a ballet class for their children!

Alta has been an amazing place for both my daughter and I to grow as dancers. All of the instructors are extremely supportive, caring and invested in every one of their students and they make the classes super fun! Having moved away from the dance academy my daughter attended since she was 2 years old was very sad for us and we are incredibly happy to have found Alta. The shows are the most beautifully crafted performances we have been to. They capture every emotion, keep you engaged from start to finish and wishing they wouldn't end!

I am a BIG fan of Alta Dance Academy. My daughter has danced there for 6 years now - since she was 10 years old. Not only has she learned proper technique she is surrounded daily by instructors who genuinely care for her. They push her and challenge her and make her work hard but they also listen and laugh and teach all their students to be kind, to love, to serve others, and that dance is an art form. They’re not learning to dance to win a trophy or for the praise of the world, they’re learning to express themselves and to tell a story. If you’ve been to a recital you’ll know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t, you should jump at an opportunity to do so. The dancers are so talented and the studio owner, Monica, is a gifted story teller and it’s just an amazing production every year.

As a mom of a teenage girl I tell you, THIS is where you want your daughter to be after school. It’s been a blessing for us to watch our daughter grow up here.

Monica and the instructors here are just incredible to say the least. They are passionate and talented in every way and it is clear the kids love their lessons, the hard work clearly shows come time for the recital where we get to see the kids perform. Each teacher choreographs from scratch and the shows are jaw dropping. It truly is amazing to see. Alta is not just an activity, it’s a family bonded together through the art of dance for any age. Even the older kids become role models for the younger kids and they all cheer for each other. Five stars aren’t enough for these teachers!

I've had my daughter taking ballet for the past 12 months, ages 3-4. The instructors are very patient and great with the littles. We just had the spring recital and I was so impressed by the entire production. It was carefully planned with beautiful choreography, smooth transitions, and just an overall amazing show. Can't wait for next year!

My daughter just had her first recital after moving to this studio from another in town. Her experience this year with Monica as her teacher has been wonderful, and mine, as a parent, has been great too. The studio has a place where you can sit to watch, and it also feels safe to drop her off and leave her for the hour.

The real reason I have made the effort to write this review is because of THE RECITAL. I've heard that this studio has a reputation of putting on great recitals, but I never imagined the possibility that I could enjoy it as much as I did. From beginning to end, each performance was wonderful. The dancers are committed and worked so hard to put on the numbers. But the real magic was in the flow of the show as a whole. Each performance flowed into the next, and the overall theme of "Illumination" was present throughout. There was a very clear coordination of performances, and an artistic vision for the whole show that was INSPIRING. What an amazing offering of art to those of us who got to see the show. I was brought to tears for performances that my daughter wasn't even in.

This studio has clear vision from Monica and from her teachers, and a whole community of dancers who benefit from that. Thank you, thank you. What a gift. I hope my daughter will dance here for years to come.
