Looks like I'll be the only one rating and reviewing this company. Let's just say that the saying "you get what you pay for" speaks volumes in many cases. This includes home owners insurance. This company does not help you explain policy details and how there are different policy levels. This company, ever since the June 2014 hailstorm hit Blair, Nebraska, does not answer their phone for anything. They don't even offer an e-mail address, nor do they have a professional greeting when leaving a message. IF they answer their phone, it's, "Hello". Not professional, not etiquette, and I sure as hell would never recommend this company to anyone. And the issue I am dealing with through Washington County Mutual Insurance is a whole other problem. The last time I talked to this company, which was over two months ago (again, because they do not answer their phone), they made a remark to me they had "over 200 claims to work through. I'll put your name down and we'll get to you as soon as possible". Okay, 200 claims is pity compared to probably 2000 claims (or more than likely more!) that State Farm, Farmer's Mutual, Progressive, etc has to deal with. I could keep going with this godforsaken company, but the gist I am bringing across the public is to not waste your money, your time, or your energy on this place. Local, family owned, is not always the cheapest decision for your buck.

The other review on this company is very misleading. Leaving a bad review because they do not meet the criteria on what you believe an insurance company should be does not make them a bad company. They are very polite and easy to work with. This is a small town home feel company. If you want a big corporate insurance company then go there but that is not what this is.. A happy customer of 10 +years
