I highly recommend this tour for anyone who likes history and/or science. The tour of the mill only takes about 30 minutes, but you learn a lot about the history of the Comstock Load and about the process of removing gold and silver ore.

This information that you get on tour could easily be National Geographic or Discovery Channel special. Its that interesting!

Outlaw Dave, the man who runs the Mill & does the tours gives you A LOT of information about not only the Gold Mill but the area's surrounding & their histories. In my opinion it's the best tour in Virginia City if you're there to learn some of the true history.

Short opening hours, and the town (at least for me) is worth visiting in the evening. You can reach this place on foot in 5 minutes from the city.

Outlaw Dave will give you a good rundown on how the mill works and where to visit in the town. STAY OUT OF ABANDONED MINES in the surrounding area. 🇺🇸FLAG UP🇺🇸
