I initially had my first flight with Chennault Flying Service back in, I believe, August or September of 2023. At the time, I already had my Private Pilot Certificate and Instrument Rating and was looking to complete a flight review. From the very beginning, the staff and instructors at Chennault were professional, welcoming, and supportive, creating an environment where I felt I could thrive as a pilot.

One of the things that really stood out to me was the flexibility and support they offered throughout my training. When I set my sights on completing my Commercial Pilot Certificate through Liberty University, Chennault worked with me to ensure I stayed on track and even finished ahead of schedule. This flexibility made a huge difference and allowed me to make the most of my time.

Another highlight was being able to take one of their aircraft to Oshkosh, which was an unforgettable experience. The fact that they trusted me with such an opportunity speaks volumes about the confidence they place in their students and the level of training they provide.

While my experience at Chennault Flying Aviation School has been satisfactory, there were also some significant drawbacks that warrant mention. Firstly, I'd like to extend my appreciation to my instructor, Ethan. His passion, patience, and commitment to teaching make my time valuable and enjoyable.

However, my overall satisfaction was tainted by some operational concerns that stem from the ownership. During three of my flights, the aviation microphone was non-operational, a safety and instructional oversight that hindered my learning experience and has resulted in higher financial costs in order to become proficient. I would have expected some form of compensation or compromise in the pricing for these sessions, but none was offered. It's crucial for a school of this nature to ensure all equipment is in working order, and I was disappointed in the way these issues were handled.

Overall, while I value the instruction received from Ethan, there's room for improvement in the operational aspects of the school. I hope my feedback can be used constructively to make the experience better for future students
