We stayed a night in Winnemucca on our way home and learned of this neat museum. I was especially interested because I'm part Basque, I learned alot about my heritage in Winnemucca that day. Absolutely amazing museum!

Great experience all around. The receptionist is very kind and the exhibits are interesting. Exhibits, automotive history and native American history dominate most of the space. I highly recommend checking out the three buildings in the back that have been relocated to the museum. The old house is filled with appropriate era furniture and daily household items.

Had a great experience here. Lots of local history and it was free! There's a store inside if you want to get gifts a book or a T-shirt. Besides the museum there are three other buildings to explore.

We toured the entire museum. So informative and lots of history. The worker was so pleasant to talk with. They rely strictly on donations, so be generous.

This is small museum, but it was a perfect stop right after breakfast. It had exhibits of prehistoric creatures, ancient peoples, and vehicles from way back when. There were even preserved buildings and furniture from quite some time ago!
