Honestly, where do I even begin. Before I started working with Facilitate Joy, I felt alone, like I would always be struggling and no one could understand the way my mind works. Cady is one of if not the most kind, honest and dedicated person you will ever meet. Through working with her I have not only been able to build a better link between the social world and the way my own mind works, but I have been able to connect and make friendships with others. Words cannot even express how wonderful this has been.

When I found Facilitate Joy! my husband and I were utterly lost. We were barely surviving and trying to find out what end was up. We were tired and discouraged.

I established connection with Cady and she gave of her time to connect with me and offer a little hope. Each conversation lead to a meaningful and intentional connection. She helped me establish a connection with a clinician who could provide diagnosis sensitively in manageable steps. We were given an Autism diagnosis for my 10 year old at the time and on the same day I was diagnosed with Autism. I was prepared by this point for a diagnosis for our daughter, but not at all prepared for a diagnosis of my own. From the point of accepting this diagnosis, Cady was there to support. She worked with us to establish a place in her neurodivergent community. She has monitored us closely and given us choice to help us find peace in our life. This has been through many small acts of kindness that she has seen us, heard us and given us a voice to sort out our parenting, our family and our marriage. We are gradually making progress together and we are grateful for the support she provides. We were all interested in improving as a family, but really needed her knowledge to break down how our brains are wired so we can collaborate better together to be stronger and more United.

Facilitate Joy! led professional development trainings with our Urban Roots staff and truly changed how we think about supporting and teaching all learners at our Urban Teaching Farm. We really appreciate the team's professionalism, resources, and coming out to see what specific needs our kiddos have at the farm. We 10/10 recommend Facilitate Joy! for your next staff training.

Working with Cady was a truly life altering experience. I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult and had been struggling in my professional life to understand and wield my ADHD "superpowers" in a way that wasn't detrimental. I always felt like there was some sort of "script" for the professional world that I was somehow missing out on despite all my accomplishments. It was really negatively impacting my life and so I decided to reach out to Facilitate Joy! Cady's approach is accessible, incremental, and warmly inclusive. I now know how to set boundaries, organize my time, channel my passions more meaningfully, create support systems and guardrails for myself, and -- most of all -- I no longer see my neurodivergence as a personal failure. I now see it as a strength and something to love and embrace about myself. Cady truly does facilitate creating joy in your life.

Iโ€™m happy I found Cady and signed up with Facilitate Joy! Iโ€™ve been going to the adult group sessions since 2020 and it has been a beneficial experience.

One fantastic aspect about Cadyโ€™s practice is that it takes place within a community of other neurodiverse individuals. Whether you attend the group classes, or interact with others who have autism/ADHD on the discord channel, there are many opportunities for you to learn more about yourself, to learn youโ€™re not alone, and to feel accepted.

Cady herself does a fantastic job with leading the group sessions, as well as the discord community. She thoroughly researches different methods to combat the issues that arise from having autism and/or ADHD, she presents these ideas in a clear and understandable way, and she encourages everybody to practice overcoming these issues and have meaningful discussions about them.

For example: Last year, our group focused on executive functioning, and we learned about and practiced different ways to counter the obstacles autism presents when weโ€™re trying to be productive at our jobs and at home. Cady presented on a variety of different behavioral methods we could use, and she also addressed each person in the group as best she could to learn about their individual needs.

Cady has worked with my son who is on the Autism Spectrum for 3 years and I give her the highest praise. She assists my son with each new life skill and he manages his own school, medical care, and finances.

Cady has been a huge help and a blessing to my daughter. She is 15 and was diagnosed ASD level 1 last year. Meeting with Cady and in groups Cady facilitates has been instrumental in helping my daughter learn to identify and cope with ASD related deficits. I also love that Cady is such a great role model for my daughter. She is kind and professional, exactly the type of people I want in my daughter circle of influence. I had a question for Cady about a topic they discussed and will copy and paste her response to give you an idea of how she has helped my daughter.

In group, we talked about how to figure out if someone is engaged in playful teasing (which is an important way that people connect with each other), or if they are engaged in mean teasing.

Here are the questions to ask:
Is this person usually nice to me? (Okay, likely to be playful teasing)
Has this person hurt me before? (Hmm, might be mean teasing - I should ask someone I trust about what to do)
Is the joke on a topic the other person knows I'm sensitive about or care about a lot? (Hmm, might be mean teasing - I should ask someone I trust about what to do)
If I ask the person to stop, what will they do or say? (Most important question! A friend will respect your wishes and stop teasing. Someone who is teasing to be mean will make fun of you for being too sensitive, or will just keep teasing you.)

Cady Stanton is a coach who understands the unique challenges of neurodiverse people. I was in her adult group, but she also works with teens, college age students, early career professionals, and parents. I looked for help for years and Cady is the best resource I've found.

She has clear methods backed by research studies. These studies are from science and psychology. She is well connected to great resources, from seminars to employment help. In our group and online forum, we discussed: organization, time management, executive functioning, emotional regulation, conflict management, interpersonal situations at work, building allies, mini disclosures, and much more!

She is a very kind and tactful professional, who can empathize with people of all backgrounds. I was very impressed by her ability to support neurodiverse members of the group that were LBGTQIA+. I really cannot say enough great things about her service. She goes way beyond what other coaches typically do.
