Les really knows his stuff. He does a good job of breaking up some long classroom days into different activities to keep students engaged. Lots of hands on activities and ended up with training certs from 4 different companies as an added bonus. Would highly recommend!!!

I've been an extreme top earner on the bell curve for over 25 of my 35 years, in various positions in the HVAC/R and Controls trade. Moving to New Hampshire and needing a Gas License required me to register for classes again.

Les (Owner/ Instructor) structured his classes such that it keeps both the apprentice and the highly seasoned professional engagd while he covers a large expanse of requied content. The classes are highly condensed but rendered in a memorable way, which is important, because the expectation is that you leave knowing the material.

You must know this material to pass, and the real world tests are no joke. But Les and Jerry do a great job prearing you for them. Having passed all 3 courses, I am well equiped to intelligently answer questions an inspector might have and can confidently say that I personally benefited from the classes even at 25 years of being the guy everyone else called for support.

Thanks Les and Jerry, it was a fun learning experience.

I recently attended another in-person continuing education class at Les Houston's Advanced Trade School, as I have multiple times in the past, and certainly I recommend to anyone entering the trades, advancing their career or meeting licensing requirements to call on Les for their educational and training needs. Les has the hands-on experience, industry knowledge, regulatory knowledge, people skills and teaching skills allowing him to provide an enhanced experience for all of his students. I have attended many educational and training classes over many years for the purpose of gaining industry knowledge and maintaining licensing requirements. In my experience, no other school or instructor has created a classroom or lab environment that stimulates such level of interest and participation as with Les engaging with each student during the class. With the advent of Advanced Trade School, it is the easy first choice!

Last month I wanted to weld. This month I can weld with MIG, Stick, OxyAct, and use a Plasma cutter. I will be putting my new skills to use immediately at my company. Excellent class and instructor. I look forward to taking the TIG class in the spring.

Les’s commitment to education and the trades is unprecedented. In a culture where truly skilled labor may feel like it’s going way of the dodo sometimes, Les makes utilitarian work as entertaining, engaging, and rewarding as it truly can be.
