I feel such love for this school already after a one week class. I took the English Scribe timber frame workshop, led by Jack Sobon and Neil Godden. In one week, we used only hand tools to cut traditional joinery and then raised an entire barn.

Between their instruction - which is World Class - and their infinite patience, support and kindness (I am a beginner, and it was an intermediate class) - I felt immensely grateful to participate. Add to that mixture all the students - many of whom were Themselves impressive teachers and professionals - it was such a meaningful, impactful experience.

It is not often that you find people with Legendary expertise in a craft, who are equally determined to share their knowledge. Here, it is because their craft is rooted in genuine Joy. That is what you find at Heartwood. I can't wait to return for my next class.
