If you love buttery, flaky croissants, the croissant class at Sur La Table is a must! The instructor was knowledgeable and engaging, breaking down the process into easy-to-follow steps. We learned how to laminate dough, shape different pastries, and bake them to golden perfection. The hands-on experience, plus the delicious results, made for a fantastic time. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to master the art of French pastries!

Chef Monica and the whole crew were amazing, from start to finish!
It’s not just about completing a recipe. It’s about technique and character that you can build into your kitchen and right onto the plate! Thank you for this class and we look forward to the next one!

We came for the British Baking class and it was fantastic! I am not a great baker but everything turned out both beautiful and delicious. I attribute this to the great directions and patience of the instructors.

I arrived and was never greeted. There was traffic in the store but only 1 person in line. Then Ava came to the rescue and had me get in the pick up line. I was then just waiting and she had to go and assist some other guest. She also had a gentleman come and help me since the other associates did not want to work that day. An older gentleman came and assisted me also Ava found a missing package from one of my deliveries I had. There was a total of 4. All in all Ava and the older gentleman were the Only two actively working with guest the others I guest are stocking shelves in the middle of the day and just showing up for a paycheck. Thank you two for all your help and getting me on my way. Delivering for Your customers when the business can not supply this service themselves is one thing but not having systems and processes in place so the service you are using to do this is another and thing. Get your shit together or have your customer get their own orders. Or provide the delivery service yourself.

Chef Ernesto was FANTASTIC. Had a super fun time at his macaron class. The instructions were very clear and the chef was very informative on how we could do these at home. Would definitely recommend doing a cooking / dessert class again!

My husband and I attended Ernesto’s Valentine’s Macaron baking class, and we had a fabulous time! While I’m no master chef, I am pretty knowledgeable when it comes to baking— I still felt this class was great for both beginners AND home cooks. Ernesto was incredibly knowledgeable, and he was happy to answer all the class’ questions. Everything was already pre-measured for us, and they ensure everyone has some great end products to take home by prebaking some macaron shells (just in case your own do not come out as pretty as you’d like). Ernesto provided great tips with lots of encouragement along the way— that the chosen receipts are actually very forgiving and ways to fix things/tweak the recipes whenever you get them at home. Also, shout out to his sous chef, Ms. Deb! She did a great job at keeping the areas clean, hands were properly washed, making sure we had everything we needed, and keeping the environment light/fun!

The only thing we were disappointed in was the post for the class indicated that we would be making two types of macarons— chocolate dipped strawberry macarons and smoked salted caramel. We only made strawberry macarons, and they were filled with chocolate ganache or a jelly (you could choose), there was no salted caramel. My husband was looking forward to the salted caramel, but not the end of the world. They did teach how to do the heart shape for Valentine’s Day, not sure if that played a part in it.

Overall, this was a wonderful experience and we would absolutely do it again! Thanks, Ernesto!
