As a graduate of Mediatech, I really learned a lot about the music and film industry. The teachers are practice what they teach by being active in each industry. There are some improvements I’d add personally but getting started in a full industry, Mediatech is definitely a great opportunity to get started.

my actual rating is a half star. if youre going for the associates program there are absolutely no accommodations if youre neurodivergent or attention deficit. the entire last semester is online and if you need help you can have "tutoring" with a tech from the school who is not an actual teacher. the techs dont know all the lessons so youre stuck having to explain something that you dont know to someone who may or may not even be able to help you. the online courses are a joke as well. the math course includes 150 word discussion board posts every class and we even had a writing assignment for MATH. the math teacher also never once taught anything he makes you teach yourself from the book online and gets an attitude if you ask him to teach. there are no physical books in the online course all of them are pdf files that sometimes you cant even type in the page you need to go too and have to scroll to find the page in a 300+ page file. the class that i was in when i started was riddled with arguments and shouting making the environment difficult from the start to learn in. the staff tried when they could to step in and end the fights but they would happen consistently making it extremely toxic and hard to focus. it all came to a head in the third semester when a physical altercation took place off campus and the staff failed to separate the students in class like they said they would, leading me to believe and see with my own eyes that they do not have student’s safety on their minds at all. the facility is rundown and the equipment & gear is old and outdated. the staff and people are cool but there are absolutely zero accommodations if you have learning disabilities which makes this place feel like an absolute scam instead of a school. literally save your money and do not come here unless you already have your credits or are just doing the diploma program; just know this place does not care about its students at all just profit. thanks for wasting my time and money mediatech !

This school changed my life completely and taught me to be more than just an artist or musician. The professors at MediaTech Institute were amazing in their teaching approach and diverse ability to relate to the students who came from so many perspectives and styles of the craft. The hands in the studio capability giving to the students is awesome and the fact that all bodies of work created by the students in the studios while attending school is 100% owned by the student. Also the network and resources that come along with being apart of the MediaTech Institute family can be very rewarding for those students who have that #hustlegrindmashgetit attitude.

This place was awesome if your thinking of getting into film school or any media really I definitely recommend this place. If I could do it all again I would. The first few weeks was a little scary since the last school I just came from scammed me. When I came to this one they were changing the program around but I stuck it out and I don't regret it one bit. I thank Eric (director) for the push and advice that he would give us, Lee Shapiro was a fun and great teacher and the music video professor Monika Watkins. I always called her Ms. Monique but she definitely engraved mise en scene in our heads lol. I can't exclude the music teacher Mr. Nagaris that brought more positive energy to this place. There are other great teachers and staff here too. I loved the energy when I came here everyday. It was like home no matter my problems outside of this I was always here. Big thanks to MediaTech Dallas.

This place used to be awesome. As a student, it was life changing. I created my business and made great connections/friends out of it. As an employee, I wish I could say the same thing. Getting too close to the owner showed otherwise and due to my personal values, I am no longer working for the school. Honestly, I have no desire to really affiliate myself with the institute ever again!

Student life was awesome!!

Employee life was good until it wasn't!!!

It's been tricky navigating the two but I have. I won't speak ill will about anything or anyone other than one thing...the owner. He needs to get his act together fast or both schools will be going out of business!!!
