Overall, my experience at U.S Aviation has been great. They have self check authority for every course they offer and that’s pretty hard to find. The instructors are knowledgeable and they have a ton of planes at the Denton location.

My experience at US Aviation Academy has been phenomenal! If you're looking for a place to get your ratings done quickly and efficiently, this is the flight school for you! I've almost earned all my ratings in less than a year. The staff is amazing and the instructors are great as well!

Went to us aviation to complete my commerical single engine and was excited…the first two months were great, then I experienced the problem everyone else has not getting a plane…and then I heard there were giving priorities to the Air Force cadet, foreign exchange students, and the 225 students. And there was some months that I only got one flight the whole month.

And the planes may be some of the worst planes I have ever seen flying. They look good from 50ft but once you get up to them you can see how beat they are… and some of them are barely airworthy.

This place is an awful place to do your training at wouldn’t recommend it to anyone trying to get into aviation you’re just another number to them. When I decided to leave the program no one called or email me so that’s how I know. It’s just a money pit…

Currently enrolled in one of their satellite campuses and I will say to avoid this program or don’t listen to the lies that you’ll be told and expect to spend $30k more than you’re told and spend twice as long as preached, trying to get through this program. It’s been a good program so far but it is horribly flawed. The scheduling department sucks for starters, and the other BIG elephant in the room is the schools greed. They only care half heartedly about the students and don’t put enough effort into upholding their end of the bargain by getting you through the program as quickly as possible. Minus the weather you’ll spend 15 days out of each month sitting around because they’ll have 6 planes for 14 time slots or 2 check instructors for 25 people on check. Guess who’s getting cancelled? Anyone that’s not on a check and anyone that has a solo. Solos have bottom priority and CFI flights and commercial solos are last. How is anyone expected to get through the program on time if you (USAA) are brining in more students than you have planes for!? Completely asinine that this thinking has been overlooked. When you have 20 commercial students fighting for solos that of those, half are cancelled for other “priorities” or CFI students going weeks without flying because of school imposed delays, it leads to a serious time crises. If USAA wants to start paying the interest on my loans that have a timetable, then be my guest and cancel my flights! I recommend stopping the greed and stop brining in more students than you can teach. Or bring in more planes and or a bigger maintenance team to offset your unsustainable and never ending growth.

Edit: I also should add that the school should be responsible for my gas and wear and tear on my vehicle after I get all the way there and they cancel my block for no plane or the plane is taken for another “priority.” If it was a priority, why wasn’t it scheduled that way in advance? If it gets canceled before I leave the house that’s less of an issue. But driving almost an hour to get told sorry, go home, unacceptable and unprofessional.

Starting at US Aviation Academy was a bit rough at first, but they sorted things out fast. I didn't know what I was missing until I joined them. The ground classes are detailed, and the facilities are spotless with everything you need. I've finished nearly all my ratings up to CFI here, and I'm really glad I chose this place!

US Aviation is the best flight school in the country. I researched every Part 141 flight school before I decided where to go, and US Aviation was the best. I moved from Washington state to go here, and I have not regretted it. The parking is a challenge because it is so popular. The A&P school is world class. And better yet, the Part 141 Professional Pilot school has the very rare Self-Check Examining Authority from the FAA. This means that students don’t have to wait for a DPE to get checkrides done. Flight schools are a very tough business, but this flight school is going above and beyond to accommodate students pursuit of flight training, and certifications. I completed Instrument, Commercial, CFI, CFI-I, Multi, and MEI at the US Aviation Academy part 141 Flight school. Liberty University has partnered with US Aviation Academy to provide VA funded part 141 Flight training with USAA as Liberty’s largest Flight Training Affiliate.
