I’m sorry people have bad experiences here, but most of the ones I’ve seen are months ago. I’ve been to this place so many times within the last month, they always have a sale going on,last sale was 90% off. They always have good, unusual and cool items they put out every day, their clothes are quite cheap as well but beautiful quality, and the women/men who work here are lovely and have always been so nice to me whenever I come to check out or even when I’m walking around. 10/10 love this place.

Sadly, this store has gone downhill since Angie left. She was the one who kept this place together. First, they have to revise their restroom policy. They used to send their clients to the Food Hall across the street to use the restroom. The Food Hall owner/manager got angry at the thrift shop for sending their customers there. You cannot expect paying customers to come back if you are sending them elsewhere to use a bathroom. Second, the new ladies who work here have no customer service skills. I was ready to pay today, no one in line, and the cashier tells me I cannot pay until some other people, who were still shopping, pay for their things. So, I left. And, I don't think I'm coming back anytime soon. Other times, I've had to wait a long time in line because these new ladies do small talk with customers, make unnecessary comments about every little item you buy (asking questions like what are you going to do with this item), therefore making the check out process unnecessary long. I miss Angie.

I moved to the area from out of state with no household items. No furniture. Nothing but clothing and personal items. I bought several items here at amazing prices. Including the electric recliner chair which looks brand new. This was the first piece of furniture we got. What impressed me the most was the kindness of the staff. One lady showed me around and was so sweet. I found their prices to be the lowest of all the local thrift stores. I look forward to returning soon.

I just visited North Texas charities and they had a Keurig coffee maker for a $90 and the exact same one at Walmart is $49 every day low price. I know this for a fact because I just bought one just like it. And when I told the lady that worked there her response was well go to Walmart. And my response to her was well. I don’t need to because I just bought one from there identical to this very one. Bad attitude over priced will not return.

Writing this review as someone who typically only reviews places for positive purposes, so I will start by saying for a store, it’s wonderful. 5 stars for the store itself. Prices I believe are fair & on par with what I’d expect to see in a thrift environment. I don’t agree with reviews saying it’s pricey as the items they provide are random & usually very valuable. However, the reason for my two star review is for one lady in particular that completely ruins the environment. There was a woman I believe by the name of Angie who worked here in the past who has always been wonderful, & several other women who work here too who are just fine & lovely… but the one I am referring to I never caught her name nor do I care to. I’ve now unfortunately had to be helped by her on 3 separate occasions. Today the occasion was met with the absolute least amount of customer service I’ve personally had to witness. I mean at the bare minimum just being greeted as a customer wouldn’t have taken but two seconds, instead I was met with her continuing conversation not even acknowledging me standing in front of her. The other woman she was speaking with was bidding to engage with me while she continued, as if I was disturbing her day completely. Once finally even acknowledged, I wasn’t even met with a hello, I started the conversation myself asking to leave an item by the front & was met with “well we are actually going to set it over here”. Thanks, I don’t care where it ends up, it was just a question. Second interaction she is outside doing something, where I ask if “while you’re out here could I please get you to snip this zip tie of this chandelier so I can purchase it?” A simple “oh sure!” Or anything is that easy I’d guess - but shockingly I was met with a “oh I won’t be the one to be able to help while I’m out here but I’ll get someone to help you” to which she proceeded to go grab someone (who was again a kind other person) & still, was out helping in the end too. After that, swore it was over. Go to the counter to purchase my items. & she wants to parade me around & look at my tattoos. Trying to make awkward conversation as I’m clearly not having it. Comments of “oh you’re a Denton person” and “you’re not going to let me see your tattoos?” No ma’am. No interested. I’m not a “Denton person” whatever that means, and I actually live here in Roanoke & own a business in Northlake, much above whatever your ability is, clearly, since you lack customer service skills.

I’m sorry to the owner or to those who read this, personally this is out of character for me to feel the need to do, but this woman was so ridiculously ill-equipped to handle basic human interaction I’d be sad to hear what a bad day for her looks like towards others. Please consider finding someone with a kinder character as you have plenty of employees who do not fit this description whatsoever. I’ve been coming to this store for a year and a half and have spent likely hundreds of dollars here & plan to not return again. Hope the best, I love supporting charities & small business, but this made no sense whatsoever today.

Just had the most positive experience dropping off donations. After being told very rudely by Goodwill that they are not accepting donations because they are full. I looked up other options. A lovely woman at North Texas Charities answered the phone and could not have been nicer giving directions on what to do and even asking if I need assistance. This organization will be receiving all of our future donations.
