A vital and often overlooked community resource that serves diligently and quietly hundreds of county area seniors. Providing not just literally the meals on wheels, but also human interaction and comradeship, serving mental health needs and even going so far as to care for the pets of the elderly. This entire operation is so much deeper and more meaningful than you would imagine at face value.

For some of the elderly they visit the interaction with the meals on wheels volunteers is the only human interaction that senior will have in a day.

Certainly worth a five star review here on Facebook but more importantly certainly worth a donation of your time to volunteer or money to power the massive effort that they undertake and have undertook for 40 years now.

I provide home health care to an elderly woman in Rockwall. She receive meals on wheels. If it wasn't for the volunteers that take time out of their day, I don't know what she would do. Just them dropping off the meal gives her such joy! Thank you all for your hard work and commitment to helping out our elderly. A lasting impact.
