I signed up for CDG's Critical Handgun Level 1 & Intro this past Saturday. This was the best handgun training course I've ever seen. Not only was it super safety concious but Mac really understands how to teach the skills he has spent a lifetime honing. I would recommend Critical Defense Group for any and all handgun training.

Just recently took Handgun level 1 and was very pleased with the class. It felt like a great class that covered a spectrum of things that would have something to offer people of varying skill levels. Mac and Misty were great teachers. Mac is personable and thorough, has a little fun but sets expectations high when it comes to application. Misty was a great counterpart for our group and was great at helping our group in the range. I can't say enough good things about the both of them.

It's clear they are every serious and good at what they do. And it's even better to know you are supporting a local family. Not just because it's local but also because it's a great product.

I signed up to become a member and plan on coming back here to take many more courses.

My first training/class was a great experience! Mac and the other instructors know their stuff. The carbine class was exactly what this novice needed.
They have created an environment whereby the attendees learn and gain valuable skills while maintaining the number one priority of safety. One’s confidence level can’t help but improve. I am looking forward to taking more classes/training sessions with them in the near future.

I recently completed my second class with the Critical Defense Group and found it incredibly valuable. I now feel better equipped to recognize potential dangers and take steps to avoid them, whether it's choosing a safer place to sit in a restaurant or identifying vulnerabilities in my home or church. The course also emphasized the importance of being prepared for the aftermath of a dangerous situation, particularly in providing critical medical care when it’s needed most. The instructor was both knowledgeable and passionate about the subject and I am looking forward to attending future classes - thank you Mac!

Have now attended 3 classes at CGD.
Since I’ve trained at several other 5-star schools, I saw in the first class that CDG offers training every bit as sound as any of the other well-known schools.
My range-buddy, a former LEO, and I both decided to join CDG because we knew we’d be back.
The training is intense, but without intimidation.
Shooters, of every skill-level, will benefit from the training offered at CDG.

I took an active shooter course here recently. I see why they are rated 5 stars. Absolutely exceptional training. Extremely competent staff. Not macho or over the top but has the experience and coaching skill to drive you, and identify areas for improvement. He held our whole class to a high standard, which I love. Just as good in the classroom as on the range. Everyone left this class better than they started. Mac’s advice really took us all as shooters to the next level up. Super glad I took the class and look forward to taking more.

I highly recommend Max and his team for all your firearms training. He is highly trained and very professional. Hands down the best bang for your buck in firearms tearing in the area!
