We had a good time with our unit. They have great activities (rock climbing, cope, archery). The camp was relatively small, amd fairly dusty. There is no swim beach which was frustrating to our youth. With larger group sizes you will struggle to get youth through activities.

The food was adequate, not great but did the job and not having to prepare our own food was a plus. The youth loved playing Gaga ball in the pit there.

The camp is a shadow of what it once was. The activities still reflect the scouting standards. The staff is unequally leaning toward the left. When I saw the "In God We Trust" wall sticker was partially torn off the office wall I had my concerns. The staff also seemed to be performing their skits to themselves rather than the kids. I'm glad that our group was able to make the best with what we had.

The tents are clean for what they could be and where they are. The staff is what makes this camp awesome or boring. Our staff was fun, interactive, tried to learn names, and very helpful. We had one girl get hurt and they were very professional in getting first aid and help.
They have archery, knife throwing, high COPE, low COPE, rock climb, rappel, canoe, paddle board, etc. They make sure you drink water.
The meals are pretty okay. All the food is ordered bulk from Sysco, and they do what they can with it. It's not bad, but it's not what adults would consider super good. The kids don't really care. It's all pretty standard American fare, and then they do try and accommodate dietary needs. I don't do dairy and I was able to find stuff at every meal. They have a salad' bar' which is just lettuce ham cheese and broccoli. But hey, it's an extra option. And the meals are provided, so we didn't have to prepare them!! Biggest plus!!!
There's only 1 bathroom which needs to be cleaned often since there's a lot of people. They only had 1 group sign up for a cleaning a day, but it needs a night and a morning clean.
The water taste is good. Prepare to walk up and down hills. Prepare for no reception. There are rattlesnakes and spiders. Gaga ball is great fun. The tents can fit 4 comfortably.
My cons are: I wish an investment could be made to update the picnic tables. A lot are broken and rough. If a second bathroom could be put in, that would be helpful. They should probably tell everyone to limit 1 shower per stay.
You will have a great time here and make a lot of memories.

This is a great camp for all kinds of youth groups. Good for high adventure, girls camp or youth conference. It is located in a very beautiful area, with butterflies, wild flowers, deer, and sometimes, even moose. They feature different team building activities such as a C.O.P.E. coarse with a zip line and various challenges. They have a real rock climbing wall and a repelling wall that is over 150 feet tall. One of my favorite activities is going out on the boats. They have canoes and paddle boards and it's fun to go out and splash your friends or go for a swim in Causey reservoir. This camp lasts 3 days and it is packed back to back with activities that are sure to strengthen you, and bring you closer together as friends and a group. They offer spiritual walks and activities for religious groups, and there is also a fire program that is very fun to watch and be a part of. The camp has flushable toilets and showers with warm water. The restrooms are rather small, so be prepared for that if you have a large group. There are 3 meals each day, but teenagers still get hungry. So bring plenty of snacks.
