We love Utah Military Academy. Our son has been with this school from the first day it opened 4 years ago. We've had great teachers and mentors guiding him along the way. He's had experiences he never would have received at any other school. It has been an incredible school. So much to offer each and every unique child, but your child has to be willing to fully immerse themselves and find the niche that fits them. If they do, they too will have an amazing experience at this school.

I absolutely adore this school. It's a terrific school with attentive and caring faculty and staff. The students have smaller class sizes, great academic and athletic programs, and ample opportunity to learn and grow. It's an extremely respectful and nurturing environment, yet still enforces structure. Students are encouraged daily to follow the core values of integrity, service, and excellence. Go Thunderbirds!

If i could rate this school 0 stars i would. They don’t care about their teachers, especially the ones who actually care about the kids and what’s best for them, and they don’t care about their students. they don’t care about the parent committee. it claims to be a college prep school but it’s not and it gets closer and closer to a military reform school even though they claim not to be. when two cadets died they basically said we couldn’t have our memorials up not even a few days after and there was nothing in the yearbook about them even though many students and teachers asked for it. I have so many awful stories about this school. The only teaches and staff members at this school who actually care about the students wellbeing and their education are Captain Curtis, Major Gardenhour, Mrs. Barlow, Mrs Mcneely, Mrs. Mccutchan, Mr. Dockter, Sargent Frazier, Mrs Daniels, Mrs. Seward. I wish i had never gone to this school as it didn’t prepare me for college at all. some teachers, who have left since i graduated, have even said unacceptable and rude things to me when I was a student. even at my graduation in 2020 a board member started going in a political rant about how we don’t need to wear masks and how it’s an infringement on our rights in the midst of the pandemic. if that doesn’t show that the board doesn’t really care about the well-being of students, i don’t know what does.

This schools was good in the beginning.I was here 7th to 9th grade. The office staff was really nice but some of the teachers had know clue what they were doing . Know one really respects any one here unless your friends. If your child struggles dont send them here there special edd classes are just bad and they just leave you behind. That's why I'm doing 7 make up packets at my new school do to the lack of help. Some of the best teachers left

I live within close proximity to the school and I am astonished how polite and well mannered the students are. I walk my small dogs and the students will stop and compliment me on them and will ask permission to pet them. I know the school isn’t completely responsible for the behavior but it’s pleasantly refreshing to encounter polite and respectful adolescents in our community.

I used to go to this school and honestly it used to be good. At the beginning everyone was fine and the teachers cared. But as this school progressed it slowly went down the drain. Teachers that actually knew how to do their job slowly left and horrible teachers took their place. Not only that but when it came to education they began to lack. The moment a student started struggling they would be abandoned and left in the dust, while the students that began to succeed eventually let it get to their heads and began to treat everyone without rank as if they were less than human. The amount of disrespect that the school has for struggling students and those that have no interest in a future in the military have no purpose even going there. Now I am going to be honest it has been a few years since I have gone there but even then there is a low chance that a school like this could ever change. If you have a student that plans on going there recheck EVERYTHING about this school and make sure that you really want your child going there.

School was good at first then went south fast as all hell. Law suits teachers not doing the best things school lying to get ppl in school its just sad even if there only a Rumer seems that most agree with them. Just look at the reviews. I'd do some heavy looking into befor puting kids in this school. Also if you change schools from uma half the credit you get does not count and you have to do packets what happend to me.

Those are the cons. Pros are you learn to work as a team and build tomarrows leaders.

For 6 yrs my kids have had the honor of attending UMA. At first the idea of not attending where their elementary friends were going was scary to them , but knowing about the bullying and violence their siblings had endured at the Junior High/ High School they would have had to attend worried them and us even more. UMA teachers/staff and fellow cadets have given my children opportunities they would not have received in public schools. Our school's motto: Integrity first, Service before self, Excellence in all we do. These words our family takes to heart .They help reinforce what we as parents try to each our own kids to be honest, be accountable ,respectful. Academically and creatively both of my children have thrived and in the process made friends and family for life.
